Removed spitting, but not the gamer word

You know the /spitting was working when they put so much effort into stopping it specifically.

Yet the way worse things that could be justifiably censored remain uncensored, lol.

What do you expect? They put it in writing that they are making the game itself woke, you can expect a lot more of this.

Despite the fact the the entire game revolves around killing, violence, demons and on, and that it’s supposed to be an epic tale of good vs evil they are going to be removing things that a very, very small % of people find offensive in RL and undoubtably thrusting woke stuff into the story even when it makes no sense.

I have to say at this point though I’m actually glad to see blizzard do nonsense like this, it makes my choice to call it quits much easier, just wish they would refund the last few months of my 6 month sub

You realize they are only removing it from TBC right?

Yea I think the only thing most people actually found offensive is how higher ups at blizzard treated their employees, not emotes lol

I did not realize that no. I didn’t know.

I was joking regardless.

Even if it was just removing it from TBC.

The long term decision of it is foreboding.

That’s obviously what it is, like whatever ‘toxicity’ PR spin they want to throw at it is just a platitude.

Oh no, i will lose my /spit emite.

What I will do!?!?!?!?!1

Creates a macro with /e Spits on t%

You are crying for nothing

They only removed it to “protect” the people buying their store mount in TBC classic. Once you start messing with their money, they’ll be quick to step in. There’s a reason they only removed it from TBC and not retail lol.

OP watches Asmongold’s youtube highlights and now is an expert on all sources of injustice.

Pretty crazy to think how much power the gamer word has

Why would they limit the change to one game?

See above. Boosts aren’t so frowned upon in retail. In classic they were near universally scorned.

It doesn’t matter there is boosts now in Classic. Weird thing both games have in common is “people” playing them.

We play a game where genocide happens, people actively enjoy murdering the other faction, and murder and death happens everywhere but then we have to stop and remove an emote cause it’s offensive. This world is too weird for me to understand.

He’s right, so.

Deal with it. :sunglasses:

While I could give to cruds about the emote what gets me upset is some people are like yeah wooo we won know it’s a distraction from the real issue we got sexual predators helping run the company it’s a classic distraction.
