I was ok with WG being reintroduced IF(big IF) they addressed the imbalance of the zone. It is most common for the defender to win due to getting to SR much sooner and choking the offense away from the flag. If it would be possible to adjust timers to make it less lopsided, it probably wouldn’t be so bad.
But there’s nothing that confirms they can fix things anymore. Seething Shore bug is still there after so long of it being reported so yeah, just remove WG.
At least Ashran has good contingency plays. While WG can be flipped if you immediately go BT and take that short time they are focusing towers to bust the gates, it’s hard to do when half of your team leaves right after losing SR. You don’t see that kind of exodus after losing the RoC fight. Ashran is tolerable. WG isn’t.

Honestly? Maybe the best post I’ve ever seen. SoTA was amazing. WG was a chore to unlock a pud raid for a weekly loot piñata.
I’d rather they balance Wintergrasp.

WG is the most imbalanced garbage BG in the game without a doubt. The offense / defense objective split was a mistake. Every other BG has symmetrical objectives for good reason. Personally, the less vehicle combat the better.
SoTa was an awful Demolisher chasing simulator that needed more actual pvp BUT at least it flipped sides, creating balance and symmetry.
An additional negative to sota is that if you started on defense and your team was way stronger the game would take a very long time, but if you started on offense with a better team you could win quickly, dramatically reducing the timer the enemy will have when they flip to offense.

In the vast majority of pugs-vs-pugs games it’s a one-sided rout where offense players just get chased around the map the whole time/not able to do much to fight back. Most of the PvP “dries up” within the first 5 minutes (4-5 minutes is roughly the amount of time SR teamfight takes to play itself out), so even defense becomes boring
Great place to soak “easy” afk-honor if you happen to land on defense side though, you don’t really need to do much (…other than stay awake) after you win that very first teamfight @ SR
why would you want to remove wintergrasp? there was no problem. our ways is wrecked now. such a mess. now it went from good to bad. 50% chance. either go or leave.

Strand was good when demos were slow and players could ride on them.
I think players used to be able to slow them with their own abilities.
No the vehicles moved slower than mount speed when it first came out. They eventually removed the rider spot and sped vehicles up. That’s when the bg went downhill.
I should add yes, snares used to work. They were tanker then too.
If people don’t like vehicles why do they want SotA…
It’s not that we don’t like vehicles it’s that wintergrasp is trash where as strands is best and quick
I have been winning an equal number of offense wins this expansion . Hell I prefer offense , defense wins are mind numbing boring and take too long
