The timer is the most toxic feature of m+. It reinforces the “go go go” mentality and makes people pester the tank. Because it’s all about beating the timer. Just give us a flat death count and let people take their time.
Nah. That would remove 100% of the challenge from the dungeons? Hard pack? Don’t worry boys, let’s sit here for 10 minutes and wait for lust! Removing the timer would completely ruin the format
Yeah because people will find it great being in groups that are waiting for blood lust on every trash pull and will finish it in over an hour
I don’t even do much M+ and they all run at about the same speed as a normal dungeon
If you don’t want to GOGOGO mentality then maybe you should tell blizzard to nerf mana pools and nerf out of combat mana generation so they’re forced to sit and drink
The mana generation thing wouldn’t work. It would just make tyrannical weeks worse than they already are, and out of combat you’d just be waiting around for your healer to drink
Literally everyone will do this. If you can’t beat a pack then you will just wait for lust. Back in 10 mins lads, go make a sandwich! How awful would that be
If you can’t beat a pack, having a timer won’t do you any good. If anything, you’ll just get leavers. Lol I’m telling you that hypothetical actually won’t happen.
nah man, if remove the timer for m+ will kill the challenge of the dungeon then it be SO SIMPLE to do without the timer then people will totally be geared up very quickly, use ur brain man
And I’m telling you that’s why the best players in the world are stalled at 26s right now, because they can’t beat the pack if there was no timer, they would be doing 40s and completing them in 3 hours. Waiting for every cd on every pack. It would be the most degenerate gameplay ever and people wouldn’t do it anymore. Right now if you can’t beat the pack you know that you’re not good enough yet - time to hit the drawing board to see if you can come up with a better strat
I don’t see the issue with the timer at all. If you’re doing the dungeon correctly, you can just keep it hidden. If it stresses you out, don’t look at it.
Or do mythic zero or heroics. Those don’t have timers.
Why not both, keep M+ the same as it is but introduce a version of it without a timer to satisfy people who dislike the timer version? Then everyone wins. Can people even agree on that here?
If you can’t beat the pack, your group just wipes and dismantles. They’re not gonna sit around waiting for lust every pull.
Maybe they can add the timer after some difficulty breakpoint in m+ for the competitive scene, but for all intents and purposes, there won’t be a timer for the majority of the playerbase.
Simple solution, just make the one without a timer give not as good rewards then. I would 100% be running M+ all the time if it didn’t have a timer, don’t even care about the rewards I just like doing dungeons a lot but I hate the timer, I just can’t have fun if it exists, I’ve tried.
