If an author wants to create an addon that directly affects the player, and not the community, that seems perfectly reasonable.
But an addon that directly affects a major function of the server community, even for those that don’t have the addon, seems like kind of a reach to me.
The people that argued for the removal of the LFG addon aren’t anti-addon. Conflating issues to be overdramatic seems reductive.
Exactly…the “modern” aspect with the blue area on the map and yellow arrow indicator are the ONLY things that got removed. Tracking has ALWAYS been in the game…aka shift clicking on a quest in your log
right in the blue post. they would have kept the modern version.
Or opening your quest log and pressing track? You know like quest tracking?
What part of what i said did you not get? Premade group finder wasnt apart of classic and goes against the gameplay of classsic. Quest tracking has been here since the game came out.

No they did not, hello? When your in classic and you open your quest log theres a magical button called track, do you know what that does, it tells the game that your interested in doing that specific quest.
that’s not modern quest tracking, that’s vanilla quest tracking.

Yes and what did i say the modern quest tracking that was orignally from a addon called a quest helper, was baked into the modern ui, same with the premade group finder. But guess what its in THE MODERN CLIENT, it wasnt apart of the classic standard ui. There trying to recreate classic meaning they have to take out all the changes and improvements they put into the base ui. Do you follow?
they took it out, therefore, an addon to simulate this feature is not appropriate for classic.

They removed the modern aspect of it simply because it didn’t EXIST in the default ui. This falls under the #Nochanges rule NOT what they deem is allowed and what isn’t you imbecile

Alright, you know what. Im out, im done talking to a wall. Reality check a quest helper addon is going to be allowed, if it was allowed in vanilla then its going to be allowed here. Feel free to have this massive hatred for all addons that you seem to have. Meanwhile people are going to move on, and guess what chose whether or not to use such addons.
Blizzard has made there point which you’ve obviously seemed to have missed and have taken so far out of context its unreal. Guess your in for a rough road since dbm and weakauras are in the game.

quest tracking addons aren’t the only addons that need those specific functions from the API.
and LFG was allowed until yesterday, don’t act like it’s all set in stone.
Quest addons were around during vanilla.
