Remove the dmg penalty from Titan's Grip

Why should they have to wait though? Paladins didnt.

There is not enough Armor pen for fury warrior right now to be a competitive dps and there won’t be till ToGC Full bis, they are starting to ramp up now, but it won’t be enough. And the current version of fury warrior was balanced around ICC gear same as ret, so why does ret deserve a buff but not fury warrior? The buff I’m asking for isn’t insane or crazy at all, its just removing a dmg penalty from one of their abilities, and when Fury starts picking up with ToGC and ICC gear, they can easily reapply the dmg penalty to Titan’s Grip

Yes it is. And getting viable-r with each reset of gear. Stop it.

To be fair all the classes have viable dps specs. But I think there’s a strong representation argument for Warriors to receive some attention (not the nerf kind that we received so far).

You can clear the content with a Warrior, there’s just other more compelling choices at the moment. They take a lot of gear prio (2 X 2 handed weapons) for very little return.

Look at dps rankings for ulduar, fury is near the bottom, only beating out frost mage, Bm hunter, Ret pally, Arms, and Sub, 4 of those specs being primarily PvP specs, and the other one getting a recent buff, fury warrior is not a viable or competitive dps spec right now, and the class its apart of does not have another dps spec that is viable, and it won’t be viable till ulduar bis, and won’t be competitive till ToGC bis, going into certain ICC bis. I’m not asking for a 20% dmg buff to all its abilities, I just want the dmg penalty from TG removed to help them out right now and then readded when the spec starts taking off in ToGC and ICC, similar to what Ret got

They’re certainly way less represented than paladins. But we also know they’re going to literally be #1 dps by the end.

They’re better than that on a fair number of bosses, and have great scaling.

We don’t actually know this. It may end up being the case but there’s good reason to doubt it.

I’ve been crunching my own Sims and analysing the code of the current beta Sims and they’re off.

We will improve, no doubt. But we won’t be best. The original Sims used warmane values (some used classic tbc) and they’re off. The armour values are wrong as is some of the ability scripting.

Physical damage dealers are doing worse overall than predicted. That’s Ret too.

And ret pally will be right there with Fury, so why does Ret get a buff now but not fury?

The only fights that Fury can be competitive on is Cleave fights, same thing Ret can be competitive on too. And yes, fury does have great scaling but it takes extremely good gear to get them up there, and like I said, current version of fury was balanced around ICC bis, same as ret, so why does ret get a buff but not fury?

We are going from last to less last though… This doesn’t put ret ANYWHERE near the top.

Furies are already going well ahead of ret, and climbing. This buff doesn’t bring ret above Fury. Any buffs to fury would put them closer to the upper DPS two tiers when they are already on that trajectory. Ret doesn’t even start that climb until the next tier.

The ret buffs don’t even change that Rets will be in last place, but people are acting like Blizz stepped in to make them S tier.

Warrior’s was the ilvl buff. Without it they would have been much worse off in Ulduar than they currently are.

There are also a lot of Ulduar fights that are just generally biased toward casters.

Hodir buffs are better for casters, Thorim makes melee stacking painful, Mimiron has a part that only ranged can reach naturally, and Vezax drops a 20% haste nerf on the melee while doubling the damage of spell casts.

LOL ok…

UHDK literally got nerfed because it was doing too well. Frost, UH, and mut are top tier specs. I thought ret’s issue was with later patch nerfs and no later patch tier bonus.

This helped a bit, not by as much as people claim though. Worries scale well off crit which will help. But soft arp cap doesn’t put us in a position where stacking arp is worthwhile so most of our scaling potential is still locked to us even with the ilevel increase.

My biggest concern has been that the community is making decisions based on flawed analysis.

You should do it too… You may learn stuff.

I do maths and programming for a living so I am reasonably confident that my doubts are well based.

I trust them over some streamers claims.

Fact of the matter is - these are predictions not facts. Maybe I’m wrong. Yet you claim Fury’s predicted performance is well established fact… It’s not.

Yeah, overall stats are massively skewed by Hodir and Vezax alone. Fire mages aren’t the 2nd best spec in Ulduar, but they’re 2nd overall because they do 30k dps on Hodir.

We’ll see.

The ilvl buff will help a little bit, but not enough for where the spec is at right now. That also requires FULL Ulduar bis, something that will take a very long time for anybody to get, and longer for a fury warrior to get since fury competes with other specs that do much more dmg then they do and will not get prio on those pieces over the other better specs unless they’re guild loves them

Our fury warrior did 12k dps on Steelbreaker burn, almost as much as me. He was 3rd or 4th on XT hard mode. They’re definitely coming online before full BiS. They also have a lot of great pieces from 10m. My guild’s fury warr just got 4 BiS pieces last night from our 10m run. Trinket, belt, cloak, ranged weapon.

This. Warriors are insane in ICC

Yeah, it wasn’t enough to push fury into upper tier DPS yet (the XT hard mode is very promising data for them though, as it’s a fight that doesn’t just arbitrarily give other classes advantages), but it was on the same kind of scale as what rets are getting now, if not a bit better. Both specs are stuck waiting until at least phase 3 for things to start getting noticeably better.

But we did both get band-aids in phase 2.

It does, but ret just falls further behind during the gearing process as things are now, and as your primary competitor on 2h weapons, and not caring much for ArP plate, there isn’t too much of a competition barrier outside of some of the leather off pieces. The partial upgrades along the way all help warrior more than they help Ret though.

That’s an opinion and not a fact.

Good on him, but that’s not the case for a majority of fury warriors out there. Those are also fights with external dmg buffs, like the runes from Molgeim and XT heart taking significantly more dmg then the normal boss does, XT is also a cleave fight with the bots coming in. And while a couple bis pieces do come from 10m, those pieces aren’t enough compared to the rest of the gear needed, and all come from hardmodes, something that most guilds won’t be able to do for a while still.

You mean in the way in which it’s a -10% damage penalty and you’re asking for it to not exist which means you’re asking for a 10% damage buff?
