Remove the Debuff Cap / Buff Cap, Make WoW Fun Again!

how about you get your world buffs in raids, but they’re all nerfed by about 50% :expressionless:
i am coming to the negotiation table here

What if instead we buffed them all by 50%?

A class with 2.5% representation in a raid is not called viable. This type of classes are commonly known as non-viable or token classes in wow. Unless you are ignorant then there is nothing to say.

Every class is raid viable as far as vanilla raids are concerned

exactly give me a break with this viable crap. all the classic era raids are pushovers. it’s like the bosses are all made of paper mache :expressionless:

Nah there’s no need for that.

You can just play on your no world buff server on som2 and I’ll play with everyone else on the buff server

Show me a naxx raid with full shamans or druids or ret pala instead of warriors/mages carrying the whole boat ?

Nobody is going to do that cause it’s dumb. Bringing some memes isn’t trolling. 40 shaman is trolling.

Bad argument

So practically those classes are literally meme, non-viable and are being carried by warriors/mages ?

There’s a difference between viable and optimal. Will a raid of warriors clear every raid more efficiently than enhance shamans? Absolutely. Is there a single dps check in the game that any damage spec cant clear? Not that I’m aware of.

Coddled or no place to fit a caster/ranged spec without being totally awkward?

This is just one of those places where class fantasy and game design come into a bit of conflict and gets represented through a single class. Warriors are a special case but they didnt get special treatment - it just worked out that way decades later. They tried to give shamans and rogues minor tank roles but they couldnt make it work for whatever reason. Not too mention all the other things they thought of doing with other classes in the beta.

Simply put, no one was complaining about warrior dps in 2005. People were actually miffed about people rolling warriors for dps instead of tanks. Its just easy to complain about it nowadays if you’re totally cool with forgetting this is a 20 year old game we’re playing.

Too little, too late to be crying about it now.

The salt is real. Sorry you cant go back in time and log an official complaint someone might actually care about. Just roll a warrior and bask in the glory guy.

Again, show me a naxx run with full meme specs not being carried hard by warriors or mages.

Doesn’t matter what you think it is dude. The raids are a freaking joke. Who cares?

Is a raid of 40 op warriors going to clear naxx? Will 40 shamans do better?

Lol you guys propose that raids are too easy, every raid can be done by any specs. But everything you have done so far is to stack warriors and mages to carry the ferry while propagating nonsense about “all classes are viable”.

Or people can accept that there wasn’t much thought put behind Vanilla’s class design, which has lead to severe class imbalance after years of players figuring out the game.

Nerf warriors or buff everyone else to do 2 to 4 times more damage.

What do you expect dude? Warrior is the most common class and that goes for almost any game similar.

Of course there’s gonna be a bunch of warriors and rogues and mages. These classes have been around since games were a thing

You can argue whatever you want but the raids are dirt easy. There isn’t a dps check in the game that’s higher than like 400 something dps. There isn’t a damage spec in the game that can’t get above that, they’re viable. Not optimal but viable. No one is gonna trawl through Warcraft logs to prove you wrong.

No one is claiming warriors were designed to be the best at tanking and dps. The consensus has been it’s an oversight that was discovered only after this version of the game had been subjected to a decade of theorycraft. The stats on their tier sets and talent trees all point towards this outcome being unintentional.
Regardless, they are the peak performers of those two roles.

More projection. I’m getting changes. You’re the one desperate to live in the past. Classic Era is not and never will be Vanilla.

wow that was hard. 2 seconds of googling. :expressionless:

It’s the most popular because every single raid wants to stack them. You want to raid naxx, you better be warrior to have a better chance to get slot. Ret pala, enhance shaman, balance druid never have a chance to step in unless they are guild mascots. Other non-mage/warriors have to fight for very few token spots. So of course warriors and mages are the most popular because all raids desire them.
