Ok but AOTC isnt a full set of 220 gear.
You can literally buy 1800 and sit the rating in 2s, for less than 100k gold.
Then still be terrible at the game, but now you’re just dominant amongst the other players in your tier…

You don’t just get a full set of 220 for hitting 1800. You can buy like 3 pieces counting the wep if you buy a carry.
It’s no different than running the raid once a week and looting the vault.

You claim 220 isnt a jump… Most people dont even have 213 ilvl gear from 1600, so yes 220 is a HUGE jump, and we’re talking about the ability and access to get an entire set of gear at that ilvl using honor for upgrading…
they still gotta play in that bracket every week to get the weekly vault reward at that ilvl
it isnt that big of a jump. nor is obtaining 1800 if u are sitting 1600 already the difficulty of the bracket is irrelevant. 220 was obtained by casual pvers at a faster rate than people who bought 1800 and sat the rating for 220 gear
no, you can sit 1800 and then farm conquest in 3s and honor to then upgrade a full set.
You can get carried in 2s and then never play another game of 2v2 again and just sit the rating.
Those players, then are muddying the waters in the other brackets… where their skill and gear isn’t the same par as everyone else in the similar brackets, giving them a huge advantage…
same as if they raided heroic level content, but at least rading requires effort and time, not just someone buying a 2v2 carry to 220 gear in an hour time.
The craziest part of this thread to me is how deflated 2’s is compared to 3’s. It’s so much easier to get rating in 3’s.
Regardless many people enjoy 2’s and imo its the best way for new players get started with arenas. Would be a terrible choice to remove rewards from 2’s.
I can spam 3s but I can’t spam 2s. That bracket is so toxic.

Dampening, huge burst meta, people dying in globals, not only do you have raid heros but you have all the carried bunch running around in their new 220;s. Good times. Good times.
you also play a warlock, idk what you expect from 2s besides getting trained every single game. but then again, i wouldn;t expect you to be smart enough to realize that small bit.
capping requires effort and time. raiding isnt even the best method to pve gear. people raid mainly for the trinkets. they get the rest of their gear from m+ which isnt capped at how much gear u can get per week. im gunna do some math here to show how ridiculous your being
total conquest required for a full conquest set: 11075
thats 20.136 weeks of arenas if u never get the vault rewards.
assuming that each week u also get an upgrade from the vault then it cuts that in half… 10 weeks to get a full set
So what exactly is your complaint? You want cheaper, faster carry from heroic raid?
I’ll never understand why people care how others get gear. If it’s easy to get it, then just get it yourself and be done with it.
Pvp is bad enough right now and then I see people complaining about the gearing system…
You know how many people are above 1800 in 2s? Around 5000, and how many people have done the raid? About 20,000 have killed the first 3 bosses on heroic.
Lol why are you trying to gate keep gear… you’ll have the same ilvl as them (based off this post id assume you intend to get elite rank gear from 3s) so just outplay them and win, why would you want them being at an ilvl disadvantage
Well better yet, if you are indeed going to be 2400+ in 3s then you won’t be queueing into them at all

2s may feel really bad right now but its miles better than gear from rbgs in their current state lol
you excluded vault rewards and also mythic rewards also pve rewards, that’s assuming that of course everyone does every aspect of the game to gear up to their best potential
mythics no longer grant the same lvl gear as they did in bfa, nor is the loot chance anywhere near the same for drops in end of mythic chest.
therefore you’re spending all your time doing keys for gear, when you could easily be playing 100s of games or arenas right, have all your conquest and honor, then go buy a carry real quick in a single hour and have the necessary rating to then purchase the gear and upgrades to 220 again… making this actually the quickest and easiest methods for gearing, by doing 2v2. because of the simplicity and minimal effort needed to succeed through a carry.
idk he thinks 2s is just soooo much easier than all other content ingame to get 220 gear that it should be removed, 1800 3s is pretty much the same difficulty and rbg’s is just a joke compared to 2s and 3s
we arent even at week 10 yet bro, nobody in the game has a full conquest set. and week 10 is the earliest u can get it if every week u dont get crap in the vault
2s feels harder than 3s to me rn. I can’t speak about RBGs.

so you can literally play bg’s arenas all week, and then on a single day a week pay for 1800 carry so you can get your gear upgrades and then go back to doing your thing.
ultimately what’s happening, is your allowing people to piggyback to 220…
buying aotc, rbg carries, 3v3 carries, etc all require huge amount of group efforts, including a organized team or guild to run you through.
We’re talking about a single player being able to get you 220 access even if you’re in full greens, within an hour.
if you don’t believe me that 220 isn’t a huge jump, you’re basically saying that heroic rading gear is trash. which makes you a fool. idc if you think 213 to 220 isnt huge gap, its still an upgrade, but you’re downplaying the jump potential from blue gear to 220 from a single carry session.
dont’ believe me that this is happening go watch mitchjones just for 5 mins as he queues 2v2… people will literally just spam invite him to grp so they can get rating fast.
