She’s not talking about master loot though? You can still keep the loot in your bags if you do not wish to trade it, but if you do wish to trade it then you can do so freely.
Funny how you’re ignoring the logic in other people’s arguments to repeat the same thing on and on.
All raids were master loot, guild or not. The master looter was free to do whatever he wanted. And all dungeons were need vs greed, a cesspool of ninjaing.
Any system that permits abuse will be abused. Any system that requires players to endlessly guild hop in the hopes of finally finding one where they are respected (and we’re not talking about you stars here, we’re talking about ordinary players) will inevitably hurt guild membership. People will only guild hop so many times before they give up and wing it.
If it was a huge issue, why was there almost no complaining on the forums in late MoP, the whole of WoD and Legion? It suddenly became a problem when Blizzard announced the removal of master loot for BFA.
I’d much prefer ML but PL with no trade restrictions is a best of both worlds. If someone gets loot they truly do not want to part with it cannot be taken away or denied, but those who do wish to trade it may and assist in shared success.
I see no reasons not to remove the restrictions on loot trading I had a number of times this expansion where I got loot I had no need for (445, 460 and 475 wraithion 1 hands) that I was forced to keep simply because I didn’t already have one even though I had no intention to play frost and there were a number of warriors paladins and frost dks who wanted it
I mean its a double edged sword, the thing blizz was trying to get at was loot snipers and people pressuring others to give up loot. Even though the player in question could of actually used it.
I don’t think there is ever going to be a true proper solution when it comes to loot given how all of it works. On the one hand with the current situation it gimps a lot of valuable loot from being traded. On the other opening it up again can lead to sniping and pressure. Along with fights over drops and so forth.
Look, it’s been said a thousand times before. If you’re part of a toxic guild, change your guild. You can still do content like m+ solo. I know it sounds absolutely incredulous to some people but there are decent guilds out there.
People always wanna talk about how toxic these “guilds” are but suspiciously go all quiet when presented with an obvious remedy to the problem.
People can do this now. If you’re playing with people who do this, thats YOUR problem. You sound ridiculous. Anyone can do this at any time. Don’t play with people who do.
“Give me your loot at the end or i AFK your key” - your imaginary enemy, probably.
It’s SO ANNOYING for Caster Weapons in particular.
“Haha, I can’t trade you this Staff, because it’s my highest ilvl weapon in that slot even though I already have a 475 MH/OH combo”.
It’s getting less annoying in Shadowlands, with them replacing weapons with tokens (which presumably can be traded without the screwiness of 1h v 2h), but it’s a restriction that doesn’t really need to exist.
The only way to avoid it is to pull a Wizards IRL and have it sent to your mailbox.
But weirdly enough, guilds that are stable enough to last more than a couple months are usually filled with members who aren’t interested in screwing over the raid as a whole for the sake of hoarding loot that they may or may not use one day.
Didn’t you know? All guilds are toxic and filled with corrupt individuals waiting to reform their evil loot councils where they give all the loot to the GMs girlfriend and anyone outside the inner circle, and disenchant upgrades in front of you for being a trial.
The reality is, if you are in a guild that needs to trade gear because you are getting cutting edge at a decent time, most if not all of the members are going to be willing to trade their gear if it is a bigger upgrade to somebody else.
Outside of that, is really not worth it to force people to trade their loot, you are not going to survive as a guild if you do that.
