Great. That covers your side, but not the rest. I suppose it’d be too hard to support something that doesn’t affect you and makes others play more enjoyable.
If the agreement changed after the fact, then presumably you got some gear for your effort in the meantime, and now is the time to quit the guild and find a new one with all the gear you got from the guild while it still used a reasonable loot system. Again, how is this difficult?
I appreciate the protections in place and I hope that doesn’t change.

Froom, you’re talking to someone who based off what they’ve posted would dig their team out and not loot a boss to protect their drop.
But, that doesn’t protect us from toxic losers. As stated, someone who abuses ML is still around, and if they were a devil before, they’re a devil now. Restrictions haven’t turned them into a saint. So, how does Blizzard protect me from them calling me names and humiliating me in front of the entire raid? Because, as you know, I’m incapable of quitting the guild and finding new people to run with, so I have no choice but to be constantly degraded without Blizzard protecting me. No more chat. No more discord. I should feel like I’m playing with a group of NPCs. For my protection.
Interesting, since we’ve already identified that you’d still have them. What do you have against everyone having an improved experience?
I havent seen that loot nontradablity is an actual issue. Maybe a few people have problems but where is the proof? You can always run that boss again next week and maybe the drop will go to you.

there was a person in my guild that was a dick to me, i didnt leave because everyone else in the guild was my friend. i just muted the dick and went along raiding with him for weeks later not paying him mind

As Dratnos says it just results in more wasted loot. We’re a 2 night CE guild and I definitely heard “I wish I could trade that to you.” often at the start. Now we’re basically using ML (loot council) if you have an item that can be traded.
What power? They can discriminate all they want, that’s how raids completely fold. Who are the people just taking the abuse and raiding for months without being given upgrades and still just sticking with it? It just doesn’t make sense, why wouldn’t these greedy loot hoarders want to progress to have access to the better loot later in the raid? They can’t get to those bosses without having SOME even distribution of loot. These conspiracy theories are just getting out of hand. I promise you, not everyone is out to get you bro.
True story, I had to do that in one of my more recent guilds. Couple of insulting elitist buttheads that made the guild miserable for me. Did fine ignoring them mostly. It sadly became a real problem with Mekkatorque when we all ended up in robots together though. Couldn’t hear the colors and thus couldn’t escape.
Would anyone be able to force you to trade? No. There’s the protection vs ML.

Sounds to me like you might be toxic in this scenario, denying your guild progression isn’t a good thing my friend.
I was protecting myself from bullies.
Why not bring up your grievances to the raid leader instead of locking progression because you refuse to communicate?
