I do remember interviews with Blizzard about how they describe dragonriding and how it’s immersive to them comparatively.
They want you playing through the leveling campaign their way: dynamic flying or on the ground. After that, they don’t care.
You’re 80. You have Pathfinder. Move on.
Sure but why lock flight? Its weird to me considering past pathfinders. I dont feel the system is necessary. And besides no one ever liked it until now. And the only reason people “like it” now is that its so easy it nearly autocompletes.

Not what we think. What they think. They want you leveling on the ground or with dynamic flying and then don’t care what you do after that.

Ion made up his mind he’d never release an xpac with regular flight enabled and gosh darn it that’s what he’s gonna do!

Blizz thinks lots of stuff im allowed to call their decisions bad. If someone really wants to static flight through the story let them. They will have a better experience than being forced to do something they dont like.
He is still salty that the players pissed in his Cheerios back in WoD.
I would even say it’s so easy to unlock at this stage that having it at all is quite pointless.
To be fair, this world is way too big to be using standard flight for travel… it would take forever to get from quest to quest.
And that’s just how it is: they want you immersed in their campaign the way they planned it out and decided.
Literally no one claimed you couldn’t voice an opinion. I’m just telling you what we think isn’t what they think or want.
First it was ground-only. Now it’s dyinamic flying or ground only. That’s what we get. That’s how they want leveling done.

it takes not much to get - you are going to want to level anyway and if you don’t want to level by questing then you aren’t likely doing enough world content to miss it.
The same people who have always posted about pathfinder being good for your soul are still posting that pathfinder is good for your soul. Nothing ever changes but it stays the same.
The simple fact is, all their reasons for locking steady flying really go out the window when they allow another form of flying from the start. The only reason they do it now just feels like pure spite.

yeah, Ion has pretty much obliterated any and every claim that its ‘needed’ by trivializing it so greatly this time around.
I mean, we ALL knew it never needed to exist…they just needed to design the game with their own game mechanix in mind instead of making lazy content and having flight be an afterthought.
And with DF they came thru with flying colors. Best expansion since legion, content/fun wise.
Looking at TWW, seems they did it again…did a good job of making flight integral with this landscape.
Given PF is so short this time, yeah, its past time for it to go as a requirement for any version of flight.

PF was about GROUND EXPLORATION…NOT about what KIND of flight existed.
The ENTIRE ARGUMENT for trying to remove flight…and then restricting it with pathfinder…was to FORCE GROUND EXPORATION, so they…Ion…claimed.
THAT DOESNT EXIST at this point…for anyone but a VERY SMALL percentage of players having trouble with skyriding.
Pathfinder is a POINTLESS antiquated relic that needs to die an embarassing death.
