Remove lvl 60's from pre-60 pvp

These changes went live a week+? ago now. Same complaints and not a positive comment in sight.
That wraps it up.

With that logic we should just complain about every level above 51 because they can achieve a higher ilvl than a level 51. The fact Blizzard made a compromise giving level 60s ilvl equivalent to level 56 greens is pretty fair. The bracket will remain to be dominated by level 58/59 players. Not scaled down 60s.

This. You can have a higher item level than a scaled 60 if you want. If you don’t want to then have fun getting stomped

With the removal of PVP scaling, the higher end of the bracket is definitely more powerful. What I wonder about is that since we did a level squish with 60 being max level over 120. Could it be possible to go back to having 5 lvl brackets over 10 lvl, or would that cause wait times to be too high? I feel like this would fix a lot of the complaints people are making.

It’s a small indie company composed of 12 mobile game developers and that dude with the 'fro that was decent at raiding 12 years ago. Give them at least 8 months for this 10 minute fix, please. Stop being selfish.

Fix what? The OP had no valid point. Gear has always been scaled down. For example a level 60 in 51-59 bracket has gear equivalent to level 56 greens.

The OPs complaint just shows someone who obviously doesn’t understand how the system works.

I was just chastised and debunked in a BG for championing your argument.

They said that a maxed 60 duelist has full leggos, conduits and soulbinds all maxed out so huge advantage.

Are those disabled in these lower brackets?

There are some advantages. The leggos are deactivated and scaled down. There is the issue of soulbinds and conduits, however they are scaled. I tested awhile ago with a level 60 kyrian ret that had a 200 ilvl ringing clarity conduit. When i tested, the conduits and soulbinds did work, however were drastically scaled down. I felt it was some advantage, but not gamebreaking. I did more damage on a lvl 59 ret pally with 140 ilvl than I did my level 60 ret pally at 136 ilvl scaled down.

That’s what I thought. You sure they deactivate legendaries?

Last I checked, hovering over the gear, the legendary special ability is greyed out, same goes for sockets, and enchants, trinkets. Can’t even use your break cc trinket without changing it to the BOA one. Trinket bonus for 2 pvp trinkets also disabled.

Not so sure of that anymore, when I tested everything was activate(didn’t have legendaries to check at the time however) . But while I haven’t tested recently, the person above says soulbinds/convenant abilities are now disabled below a certain lvl/bracket, and that imgur picture suggests its probably true meaning conduit/soulbind abilities probably are as well. I’ll likely try tomorrow to see if everything actually is disabled now, if its true its very interesting that they decided to change it now, would be a very recent change/hotfix.

What specifically? I know soulbinds and covenants were active but scaled, but everything else I mentioned was deactivated even going back to prepatch.

Wow… I just scrolled up and saw that imagine. Now im curious when Blizzard did the nerf to Covs. I didn’t notice it any notes I read.

Most consumables(of any lvl, sometimes with wonky scaling) and heirlooms were also active, and depending on the class some abilities you had access to that was obtained at a higher lvl then the current bracket. Otherwise it was just templated to the max of the bracket with generally the abilities you would have access to, along with soulbind and covenant abilities, not sure about legendaries but I heard they were active, never tested it.

I expected it, especially with all the people talking about it, it makes sense just didn’t think it would happen so quickly usually takes a while. It must of been a hotfix, but its strange they never noted it in their list.

Sometimes players find unscaled guardians and take them into a lower bracket which one shots players like the enthralled valkyr, but that seems a bit more rare.

A week+ now.

Really strange they didn’t note it in their hotfixes or changes, not sure what reason they would have for a stealth nerf unless they just forgot to include it?

Tbh, as someone who did a ton of low level BGs on max level toon first few weeks of release of shadowlands, I know my legendary never worked. Most things did not work, and scaled 60’s have never been the dominate of the bracket.

Blizzard has not made the mistake they did with the 111-119 bracket. Now that bracket was a complete joke. I’ll admit I know many many people who would queue on their 120s to farm that.

Blizzard has had things that weren’t scaled correctly, a lot of low level players have had those items. It wasn’t exclusive to max level characters. There have been a few enchants that Blizzard screwed up that give you like max level and aren’t scaled on their level so they have been extremely powerful in the low brackets (something level 60s scaled down cant abuse since enchants are disabled).

My testing is about 1.5 month old from when I did low level BGs. I will have to test and see what changes are. But one thing I know for sure is that level 60’s scaled down haven’t been as OP as people claim… “This level 60 ret pally just 1 shot me with divine toll”… Yeah we do that in the 60 bracket too

Honestly can you blame them? Since the solid hotfixes rolled out these threads were still active. Not working and all. :joy:
48+ is Threads of Fate access, so this makes the most sense.

The Sync Templates are fixed (static), if you post them we can compare to Wowhead character planner? vs “leveling” toon.

When you’re too dense to pick up the post simply pointing out the item level disparity in the bracket.

kekw

Why are you talking about yourself like that.

You made no valid point, and your argument was incorrect.

Knock knock… are you home?

I can’t tell if you’re genuinely this dense or just trolling, so I’ll leave you to enjoy your crayons and glue.
