Remove Layering

I’ll admit, it was nice to actually get questing done during the first week but now it’s time to take off the kiddie gloves. WoW has and will always be a doggie dog world. It’s called World of Warcraft, not “Hugbox Safely Farming” of Warcraft.

Layering was meant to be a bandaid, not a crutch for cheating scumbags who want to cheese their way to lvl 60 ASAP. If you wanted to level up to 60 in the span of a couple of days, you should just play Retail and get the frick off my Classic Server. It’s inauthentic and ruins the experience. That is all.

Know what else isn’t authentic? Having 5x or more the population on a server then there was in classic.

I would gladly take that then have layering, or they could just release more servers, and solve all the problems.

It may be a doggie dog world, but removing layering now would just be cutting off your nose to spiderface.

Its just a temporary measure to make the game playable for the levelling experience - I wouldn’t take it for granite.

That’s like saying we can solve our trash problem by throwing it all in the ocean. It does solve one problem, but it creates a new problem that is worse than the first.

If you just keep making new servers we will all be playing on ghost towns three months from now.

Found the person who didn’t play Vanilla.

LOL LMAO YEAH RIGHT. Go ahead. Remove the layering. 20k que life right in da face

No it’s actually a fact. The server caps for Classic are much higher than they were in vanilla.

Can I at least hit level 60 30 before you make the login queues jump up to 25k+ again?

No thanks, i spent hours today trying to do less than 5 quests in Badlands and STV and the mobs were so farmed i think I only finished 2 before I had enough and logged off. I am frustrated and fighting to tag mobs before others non stop and this is with layering on?!?! Ill take even more layers please

Sounds like maybe the yoke’s on you though…:joy:

Thanks for the laugh!

It’s being removed in Phase 2, by then hopefully many people will be in or near max level zones on servers. So anyone who wants to join a server will be able to actually level in low and mid level areas. And not be swamped like Northshire was day 1 and 2.

Northshire? You should have seen Teldrassil.

Oh im sure it was just as bad if not worse. I only rolled humans so I cant say first hand what the other zones where like.

100% remove it!

tons of Players are waiting to join the game but they all say they only Play without that crap System!

some rl Friends did even left the game for now because People warping away in the middle of pvp was enough for em

i told em About the layering lock timer which will be added but they said they wanna Play world of Warcraft and not some startrek crossover lol

but worst is,… they are Right!
also alot of People in my Guild are asking when does it gt removed and evertime i tell em with Phase 2 the reaction is ‘‘omg, why so Long?!’’

layering will kill classic -.-

REMOVE LAYERING!!!

Yes - and roll out a few new servers without the layering and dungeon spam exploits and we can get a few real vanilla servers.

Those were greatly exaggerated and few in between. Blizz made a post saying there wasn’t many people abusing layering. Likely less than 1% of the total Classic population.

Now there will be a CD on how often you can change layers (which few actively were).

Also dungeon spam exploits? People spam dungeons all the time whats the exploit there?

Lol “doggie dog”world. I love when people use phrases wrong.

I do agree with you though OP.

The exploit was 10 guys gaining a lvl and hour sitting in dungeons from 30-60. Blizzard hot fixed this.

I am sure most people will stay put. Which is great. But I am confident new layerless servers would fill up.
