I understand the appeal of Jadefire Stomp for MW. But no one that I have spoken to likes playing Jadefire Stomp as WW. Of all Shadowlands covenants, JS has to be the least enjoyed for WW. I would rather see any of the other options there, but preferably not Revendreth. JS is not a fun ability to press and is a nightmare in movement scenarios. The entire class identity of WW is high mobility, yet we may end up being forced to play something that locks us in place. It’s anti-synergistic and does not add fun game elements. While I do think the rest of the changes to the Monk tree and WW tree have been generally positive, I would love to see this talent deleted or replaced.
As for Serenity, it’s not my favorite ability, but it does have it’s use cases. For instance, in PvP, there are matchups with plenty of roots and micro CC that will cause SEF to become a damage loss, rather than an offensive CD. If we lived in a world that didn’t include roots from nearly every class or other CC, it would be fine. But the reality is, we don’t. I would like to see it added back as a choice node with SEF. I would be completely fine with the option always being numerically inferior to SEF, so long as it is a better option than simply not pressing a CD at all.
I agree 100% jadefire stomp just is feelsbad. I personally will take any other talent option if it’s available. A 15 second maintenance buff isn’t enjoyable.
At this point, it’s not about whatever Blizz does to FLS to make it stick around, it’s about the principle. Delete the ability because it’s just bloat that Blizz slapped 2 coats of paint on and now they don’t want to have wasted the paint, so we’re stuck with it. By all means keep the animation and turn it into a glyph, but the ability should be axed. WW is not a spec that wants for more buttons.
Kinda, but not really. It falls in line with the version of Serenity we have on live, but only because Serenity has been neutered and nerfed to pieces all while never being developed.
It sounds callous, but if it only negatively affects pvp it’s really the least evil of the options. PvE serenity was an abomination. Flooded with resources and overcapping is horrendous gameplay.
In reality they should just make clones immune to CC/roots imo.
There’s a followup node in the new tree that gives gameplay SIMILAR to serenity. It’s not the same, still has clones, but you get the cdr/chi gen of serenity. But the advantage of moving to a charge based system, easy of mark of crane maintenance, and being able to grab spiritual focus is going to far out way the difference if you ask me.
So is relying on terrible AI, if only we had a unique burst mechanic that everyone was sad to see go.
I personally don’t feel Serenity was that great, but compared to post legion SEF, I’d rather the Serenity.
Hot take if jadefire stomp is worth casting based on it actually doing its own damage instead of being a 10 second maintanence buff with that awful reset mechanic its a fine addition to the tree. With how it is in the new tree I actually don’t mind it existing it doing its own damage gives it value as another cd to weave in and its lack of energy cost could actually matter if energy is something we start caring about.
It’s not coming back and there is no “mini serenity” being baked in.

What is coming back is “Weapons of Order” now called “Ordered Elements”. Yes it is a chi cost reduction. But no it will not replace or even come close to replacing serenity.
serenity on its own is a 1% DPS increase. if they bring back Serenity ordered elements would be useless for serenity. meaning SEF would now be the go-to in all situations even in niche ST boss fights.
