I am sympathetic to the no flying idea, I hope if they ever make a WoW 2 it does not have flying, but the maps they made for this expansion have insane verticality. You need to fly. They cannot take it out.

So you would be fine with having only one, easily puggable difficulty of instance play and no gear upgrades whatsoever in any content, correct?
That would be the ultimate result of having everyone on the same playing field (if a company was trying to appeal to the widest audience possible).

Ok, I was just pointing out the irony in brining up wpvp, unprompted, to claim that someone else was secretly whining about pvp, when they didnât mention it at all.

This is too ridiculous to waste one of my trolling flags on.
Judging from all the angry comments, you misundertand a big chunk of the player base - they donât want immersion, they want to win pixels and get as quickly as possible to the part of the game where they spam the same dungeons over and over to win a mount theyâll never use.
I read every quest and even the little extra bits of speech the npcs have because itâs the only way you ever see the funny aspects of the game. I canât play with people during this time because I keep everyone else waiting. I do want to win the mount also, but I always pray that time doesnât come too fast.
This is not necessarily an agreement about removing flying while leveling. I feel like they did it the right way by limiting it to skyriding to start with - it let you see the beauty of the world opening up before you, coupled with the anxiety of crashing into a bunch of mobs you couldnât fight yet.
Okay⌠So just donât fly? Problem solved and you didnât ruin it for the rest of us.

You are more than capable of taking the flying mount off your bars and replacing it with a ground mount!
You know what actually killed the leveling experiance?
All the previous leveling experiences. I donât want to level anymore. I donât mind doing quests. I get the need for a gear reset. But leveling is just a chore. Retail wow is about the destination (endgame), classic is about the journey. Iâm here for the destination.
Wow. I canât believe that when people said they flew through leveling they meant it literally. I RP walked.

OP our server is dead of course you wonât be running into people.
Use your ground mount if you want to, we all donât need to play your way.
You should just bail out of the server and move to a Horde high/full server thatâs what I did.
Left my characters behind and made new ones elsewhere.
This is the same crap these types have been spewing that introduced the Pathfinder Achievement. The most annoying thing in WoW I can remember.
Has nothing to do with their immersion, they are just not smart enough to figure nobody cares about it, including the devs. Itâs a power trip to them. Nothing gives these types more pleasure than to know they annoyed scores of people.

You know, many years ago I was under the belief that if blizzard limited flying it would bring in some golden age of questing with grand immersive quests.
Now I realized how stupid I was. Limiting flying isnât going to lead blizzard to change anything. WOW questing is wow questing at this point.

Meh⌠I did most of my leveling in Featherman/mount form and prowl. Was easy enough to get around and explore things. Only used flight for long distance trips or to circumvent height when needed.
This made me laugh out loud.
I played classic until lvl 8 and uninstalled. It was nothing like my vanilla experience. What a dry unrewarding slog.
The retail experience is better in every single way. Nobody but the extremists want to level for a year only to have no endgame at all.

I mean, you can walk to each flight path without flying, from zone to zone, and then just use walking and flight paths from there.
