you can also play every healer as just a healer and i think the key is to ensure both playstyles are viable/optimal in one way or another
They need to be careful with how complicated they actually make healers too though, it is already harder to play healer than it is to play dps(usually).
They definitely do not need to make healing even harder overall and MW in general needs an entire xpac worth of reworks though at this point.

Being a healer requires keybinds, awareness and reactions dps don’t need. Fistweaver helps to alleviate that and you want it gone? Newsflash. The new generation of gamers doesn’t like 10000 keybinds, 100 addons, and the reaction time of a mouse to play a game.
I play other healers, I also play FW and normal MW. The problem is not lack of options it is that the style of gameplay you get out of FW is making pvp be less pvp and more pve.
PvP has become much more PvE in general since shuffle came out, it is not a good trend.
And takes it too far, it is about the degree that it does what it does not the fact that it does something at all.
Hyperbole aside, yes, I would. FW isn’t just streamlining the healer experience, it’s turning it down to 2, for which I’m not suggesting that it be turned up to 11.
Fistweaving will do to MW healers what shuffle is doing to DPS players, making them have no well-rounded foundation in the different aspects of pvp.
Everyone is going to end up turning into a W smashing chimpanzee if they allow specs to keep existing in that theme to such extreme degrees.
When I play FW instead of the max range green dot I definitely feel my inner monkey coming out.
A much better example of a melee healer is Hpal, maybe a bit too difficult to play right now but it at least still requires you to have proper knowledge on how to play a healer.
I am STRUGGLING real bad right now on my Hpal, I can’t just go ungabunga melee, I have to retreat and play ranged at times and that is how melee healers should play. When I play FW it is literally just stick a rock on your W key 99% of the time.

Healer should have an impact, but the impact should not be because they have terminal melee brain and heal by playing slappy hands in mid with the 4 dps players.
FW needs to be a spec that goes in and out of melee, transitioning between bursts of melee gameplay and traditional ranged healer gameplay.
