Remove Conquest Cap

And i would q more games on my characters.

I get 2/3 or 3/3 vault rewards on my healers and stop qing for the week.

I like to get fully geared and then play a lot of games for rating. I usually miss a week or 2 of playing due to work at the start of every season. Then I am behind and can’t catch up because of conquest cap.

So I que the bare minimum for vault rewards.

It won’t be removed because you guys love your conquest cap.

Edit: sometimes i even sit out the first couple months until they remove it

We had a season in Shadowlands where they removed the Valor cap early, making PvE gear BiS in PvP for those willing to play a lot, and shortly after that they decided to remove the conquest cap which had people playing nonstop to bis in a day or two.

They could increase the weekly cap, and/or decrease the amount of honor required for vault, but for the sake of most people I think that the conquest cap needs to stay in some capacity.

I know. You didn’t mention that they made pvp gear a lot lower ilvl now though.

I don’t think pvers would try to get pvp gear now. So why is there a cap now?

So non-neckbeards don’t fall behind massively in player power.

Are there really that many neckbeards compared to people that shave their neck?

What’s even the point in waiting because most people have the same gear? Kinda lame when someone gets wep or tier from vault and you don’t but it’s not that huge of a deal.

Why not just let everyone have the same opportunity to get geared as fast as they want when they have time to play?

If I miss the first 2-3 weeks, i have all honor gear. I go up against people that can have weapons, 2-3 tier pieces and another conquest item.

Because a degree of gating makes things more forgiving for those unable or unwilling to play an excessive amount, which is fine because seasons last several months.

I think gear shouldn’t be gated and conquest gear should be gained really fast.

I don’t see the problems that you guys are seeing.

And when you come back after not playing for 2 months you’re 2 months behind and in honor gear while everyone has conquest?

Games wouldn’t be fun to play against people that no lifed their way to a full set before everyone else.

Basically this to a more extreme degree.

and after a week or so im geared, i like that way.

Can you give me a reason to q if I am conquest capped?

  1. Fun

  2. Practice

  3. Push rating

  4. Help friends reach goals

It’s okay to be “done” for the day or week on a character.

To get rating and enjoy the game?

I am not convinced.

I’ll just continue to get 2/3 or 3/3 vault and stop qing until I am fully geared.

I am sure there are others like me too.

Yes, there was even a blue post regarding how most people play early and early-mid season and that’s to wrap up their cap/vault and chill or play alts, and that’s…fine. :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

I could see them making some systemic adjustments to the overall structure of things, but it wouldn’t involve removing the timegate from gearing.

I just don’t think it’s healthy for the rated system to have people get a gear advantage because they can put in crazy hours and get a full set while others are in honor. Starting an alt mid season sucks when you’re full honor and everyone is in conquest, imagine that after week 1.

Honor requirements to upgrade the gear in SL was what pushed it over the edge, I think. You’d have this kind of awkward transition from needing a lot of conquest to needing a ton of honor.

You guys are saying tons of players would get full gear first day and everyone else it would it would take 2-3 weeks?

And that would destroy the season?

It was most unpleasant when they tried it in SL.
