Remove Class Restrictions on ZG Enchants

Blizzard, please consider removing class restrictions on ZG enchants or consider allowing characters to select from all enchants when they turn in their required class doll. A variation of this, with BOE items, was possible in Vanilla.
This would benefit a wide range of classes. Warlocks, in particular, would love that hit! You made a great, small change when you removed class restrictions from AB rep items. This would be another step in that direction.

If you’re talking about Era, Era is not a place for player’s personal change requests. If you’d like to see alterations to vanilla there’s already a place for that: seasonal servers like SoM and SoD.

Did this impact Era as well? I thought this was specific to SoD.

:woman_shrugging:

I believe that was an Era chang as well. Pretty sure the only reason they let it leak into Era is because they’re unwilling to keep Era completely separate from SoD.

No, this is not how Era/SoD works. This change was specifically implemented on Era as a deliberate action. Item changes in SoD are assigned new item IDs so in this regard it is very easy to separate changes.

The server/client infrastructure is shared and certainly development could cause unintended impacts but this is not one of those cases.

Because shared items on the DB cant be divided, they can have add items to the DB that are server unique tho.

HOWEVER I do feel neutering the restrictions is a slippery slope because its only a matter of time before warriors are begging for that too so they can equip T3 priest / pala loot for the their flask sets.

Because you know 100% if you give them even a millimeter they will ask for way more.

Wrath spell animations have been bugged on Era since SoD launched. Character animations are from Wrath. Items with additional armor values showing up as Green is from TBC. Era is full of changes anywhere between very minor to eye-watering to look at as a vanilla enjoyer.

When they updated us… er Downgraded us to the Dragonflight game engine we ended up with the Wrath animations…

Sickening.

Since TBC came out they have also made “friendly” NPC’s that are “non faction members” impossible to buff.

Did they ever comment on this or did they just completely ignore all the bug reports? I’m still so sad when I use arcane explosion on my mage. It looks pathetic.

I have found no comment, I doubt they care or have a personal bias toward Wrath animations and Retail character classes… (SoD)

reason number 20 why SoD should be 100% its own game and ERA should be left the hell alone.

That’s exactly it. Not enough dollar signs to motivate them. But it seems Era’s population is rising. Hopefully they’ll show it some love soon. And by show it some love I mean fix the bugs and don’t effing touch anything else.

They said something in a blue post months ago and then nothing ever came of it.

Shaman’s personal windfury is just straight up using TBC functionality right now which I think is probably the worst example I can think of.
