Remove BG blitz

If people arent going to take is seriously, then jsut remove it

People who don’t take it seriously will fall in mmr.
If you’re getting matched with people who don’t take it seriously either play more games to increase your mmr, or that you’re being matched with people who are playing around your skill level.

if you don’t like it, don’t play it

I don’t like arena, it’s boring and one dimensional, to my taste

I spent more than a decade not playing it, and yet being happy for those who enjoyed it

Never once did I call for it to be removed because it was not to my taste

Blitz is clearly popular, outside of the outliers at the upper and lower ends, Q times are comparable to dungeon finder, it’s not going anywhere

the que times are terrible man at 1800 its like 15-25 mins most of the time at peak hours there is just nobody pvping anymore, lowest participation in the games history apparently

If they removed blitz then battle grounds would die. Blitz is the only thing that saves me from the premades.

Maybe they should get back to their IRL jobs then?

This is literally a game, within another game.

Just make Blitz non rated, atm the quality of play in randoms is 10x than that of Blitz. Blitz is not rated content and should have no conq rewards

I mean it’s just another mode. People usually care a bit, especially at higher ratings.

Nah, too many modes.

No it isn’t lmao

Bringing back unrated blitz would be a great change IMO

But I like rated as well

Right now there is no good option for players who want to drop in and BG except Blitz

the quality of regs is better? What part? The going up against full stacks or being graveyard camped by them? Something I haven’t seen happen in Blitz. I would go so far as to say REMOVE regs and make Blitz be the ONLY bg option. OBJ players can play their objs and ranked players will play the objs as well. I only deathmatch in random spots in regs because its literally regs

Sort of, but that’s at like sub 1200 ratings. It gets better once you get out of the hole.

I have a few problems with it. Number one, queue times are bad. Two, the changed mechanics are annoying. Three, I prefer the epic maps but I cannot do them on blitz.

Just leave it rated and people should play it.

That’s the last thing this game needs.

Kennie’s right (For once) - too many modes is killing PvP.

My Epic queues are currently 12 minutes… on Horde.

Randoms are still good if you want a more relaxed pace to just mess around and see how much damage you can do. The heavy premades suck, but it’s not every game.

I take it serious and im stuck.
Lose 3-4 ina row lose 75-100 rating.
FInally win 1 and gain 14 rating.

First of all, if someone’s not playing seriously, his MMR will drop sooner or later, and he will disappear from your lobby.

Generally, every player is matched into a lobby based on a mix of his skill, gear, and attitude etc. If someone ends up in a lobby but doesn’t seem to take things as seriously as others, it likely means he’s compensating in other areas such as skill or experience.

Take this example, a player is 3k MMR on his main, but he doesn’t always want to play high-intensity games or he doesn’t get queue pop in 3k lobby before 10 pm, so he rolls an alt in a class he’s less familiar with and queues into a 2.2k MMR lobby playing casually, maybe scratching nose, eating ice cream, watching baseball on the side.

His attitude is clearly more laid-back compared to when he’s pushing on his main. But he can maintain his 2.2k MMR on that alt, even while playing casually, that means he’s still on par with other players in that bracket through his skill and knowledge. His relaxed approach doesn’t make him weaker than others.

Can queue up with my mates and play good games against the other premades. Blitz I am stuck with at least 6 other people who don’t seem to know the first thing about objectives.

Havnrt played Blitz in AAAAAAAGES…like 12 months ages…but i remember when it was in ‘trial’ stages and only the ‘hard cores’ were playing it I LOVED it. Than as it became rated and drawing in more people the quality went down and I hated it.

These extra people didnt care about PvP
They just wanted their mogs, ratings, mounts etc etc

Dont like talking people down or telling them what to do so i just left.
Plus the MMR CMR whatever its called (rating decider thingy) is f’ed…

Theres also a saying “Its about Quality not Quantity”
Well Blizz needs the Quantity before the Quality", its a business standpoint kind of thing.

Its also the reason Vanilla rocked over todays WoW
Guilds had standards
PvP had standards
YOU had to meet those standards if you wanted to be apart of either…
Now people think the standards have to meet THEM…LOL
now its just Blizz getting as much as they can and handing out everything to people.
LMFAO at people that still complain about things in this game.

I would restate that as, ‘More modes is leaving some older and less popular modes behind, as players make their choice to play the new ones’

I’d assert the barriers to entry for new blood is what is having the most detrimental effect on PvP as a whole, at least as far as game design issues
