Remove Allied Races Unlock Requirement

Once they get warlock, sure!

I mean, why wouldn’t they want to dominate those demons as revenge?

The fact hacks are even available tells you how much thought they put into the unlocks for something entry level players have to ‘earn’ says a lot.

Then put a description next to race giving a summary problem solved.

Remove the requirements, and make the embassy quest the intro quest for said allied race. So if you haven’t unlocked say Vulpera, you make one, and the first time through, you do the quest chain that shows you them joining the Horde. After you have done it once, you can now play them normally, and choose to start at whatever level they normally start at or do the intro quest again.

I just unlocked DID, KT Humans and Mechagnomes a couple of days ago and I am all for removing the unlock requirements. However, I think they need to keep the recruitment quests in because it relates to the race you are unlocking.

To each their own.

I’m afraid I don’t follow.

I have them all but the Mechagnomes that I just don’t want.

Some I earned the rep for, and then they lifted that. As I was doing the story, I pretty much got or had all the requirements. You can now opt out of all the dungeons as well. As Legion and BFA are almost 2-3 expansions old now, I don’t see many people even having to do the story lines anymore that originally unlocked the races.

I am all for getting rid of the requirements on such old expansions for the Allied races. The recruitment stories can be fun, but I don’t really care if they get rd of those as well.

Don’t be lazy, just play the game. It’s not even hard to unlock them anymore. If they make everything automatic what’s the point of even playing?

I think there’s a difference between hitting level cap, achievement hunting (outside unlocking customizations, which I’ll get to, in a moment), working as a team in raids, etc. Versus forcing people to unlock races & eye colors, when those should be automatically given, since there’s no advantage there.

The only thing I can think of is that the allied races start at level 10. So, I think a good compromise would be to still have the embassy quests but ditch the other requirements to even start the embassy questline.

Allied Races should require the following now: get one character to level 10, run the AR scenario to learn about them, done.

Oof. So we should totally be okay paying for folks who still aren’t doing their jobs?
Nah
If they can’t do their jobs then they need to make it available with no questline.
I can read about the lore on my own time.

Removing the unlock for Allied Races may be done eventually but for now just do them.

At least the Rep requirement is gone. Those things were a real pain for me.

First Race I unlocked was Dark Iron Dwarfs., I was playing Alliance back then and Dwarf have always been my favorite race.

Then I( decided to play Horde. I just find people who play Horde are more friendly and willing to help out.

First Allied Race I unlocked were Vulperas. Then I unlocked Highmountain Tauren and Mag’har Orc.

I am not likely to unlock the rest on Alliance and Horde. But hey, There are a lot of things I said I would never do and I have done them or am doing them now.

…what bug? In the mere handful of hours it took me to unlock EVERY SINGLE allied race, I never got stuck on a quest.

Edit - the only Allied Races that take any real time commitment to unlock are Nightborne and Zandalari Troll/Kul Tirans. The latter two, you can just play BFA and you have huge amounts of it done already. Nightborne IS a slog…but can be fun oneshotting legion mobs.

Go buy things on the new shiny Diablo game. This is what blizzard wants of you.

4 days wasted of my subscription, no answer for my ticket, i cannot complete voldun INTO THE DUNES quest and unlock my allied race
