No they’re the ones to show up with extra tire tubes in case there’s pop in the middle of the race.
The game isn’t being played for you, it’s just making information easier to digest

That’s not add-ons, that’s botting and only one of those even exist.
The biggest joke Ive seen on this thread yet.
Back in my day we had hourglasses or egg timers we used to track cd’s.
If they removed addons these days the sweats would be using screen monitoring and AI to track everything
What addons would you allow
None he’s either too brain dead or lazy to do it
If it was ESO and trying to do their addons without an addon manager I could understand, but WoW has literally the easiest addon install process of any game
Eh, addons can definitely be found by new players faster than they’d be able to learn the game enough to not get frustrated by all the random things going on that they cant track or see, that other longer term players are aware of.
Also, removing addons without including very basic information into the base UI just makes people worse at the game, especially new players because they aren’t able to get that information right away. Your telling me new players will eventually get yelled at about overlapping DRs and then figure out that they need to keep track of DR timers in their head? What the OP said about this (“too bad so sad”) is a great way to get people to not play lmao, nobody wants to do that, game is a bit too fast with too much going on now for that as well.
Base ui needs a way to increase/decrease size of debuffs, and what debuffs/buffs you want shown (bigdebuffs is the reference there). Base ui needs a DR tracker. Lastly, base UI needs a way to track friendly CDs (just copy arena team tracker). All of this is very basic, simple information that we do not have access to in the base ui. I don’t think omnicd is needed, you can keep track of when something was used easily enough especially if we have the ability to customize buffs/debuffs, but I do think we need those things.
I dont think asking for very basic info to be included in the base UI is a bad thing at all, and I think new players having access to this info right off the bat when they start playing will make the overall community better. The new enemy arena frames they added to the game in DF are actually not bad, they have a trinket tracker already, just needs a few more things and we can abandon addons.
Also last thing, game might need a bit of a prune. Addons only started becoming massive in shadowlands which is very recent, and theres a reason for that. We cant even reliably see pvp modifiers in game, when I hit the pvp dummy in dornogal I am doing PVE damage to it despite not hitting or cleaving any pve dummies, and I am in warmode. It activates pvp stats and Ilvl, but it doesn’t work well with pvp modifiers.
ESO is a nightmare for more than one reason lol. I agree though it’s super simple to get wow addons.
I mean I only use bartender and gladius that doesnt work at all I dont even know why its enabled. Idc
There should be an update for it on CurseForge!
I said it before and I’ll say it again: If my 10 year old daughter could install mods for The Sims then you can do it for WoW. Also trust me when I say you do NOT want Blizzard devs solely in charge of the UI. They will not ever update it in a timely fashion and it will break. Even the AWC UI hasn’t been updated and doesn’t correctly track some cooldowns and it’s been like that for years now.
I like my weak auras. Makes the game more enjoyable for its legibility by being in control of where I track my dots, buffs, and cooldowns, without having to look all over the place like a clicker.
Sure, no addons would work in coordinated Cata combat type arenas (without solo queue) but things are way too over complexed now and I don’t care if I’m bad for saying that.
People that were bad when they had access to addons but chose not to use them would still be bad w/o the addons. Just like when they removed pvp gear in Legion.
We can (and used to ) create our own DR trackers back in the day. Called /SW macro. Used to put /sw 20 into cheap/kidney so the timer would pop up for dr tracking.
Stay trash, signed someone who got Duelist in SL with stock UI and no weak auras.
