Remove all add-ons from the Arena

Then do, nobody makes you have a bad UI.

If it’s too overwhelming, it’s not addons’ fault, but who installed them

If you want to be competitive in pvp, you need a massive amount of interface dedicated to tracking what other players are doing. To me it’s jist clutter and nuisance, an addon measuring contest. I’d rather there were no addons for anyone.

I mean, sure, but never gonna happen so :dracthyr_yay_animated:

Why not? All the normal people have quit pvp because fighting against addons is zero fun. So our population will continue to dwindle until blizzard “might as well” try something different.

Check wowhead for Ion’s latest comments on raid addons, it could easily apply to pvp too.

Do you know what Mythic Ovinax entails

Same range of reasons they didn’t do it a decade ago when people also thought they might arbitrarily disable addons in a specific form of content

From them not really being problematic to them allowing Blizz to not have to improve upon the UI

Like, they could, but I’m just saying I wouldn’t count on it, just like I told people a decade or so ago

Real talk removing add ons would be a monumental step back in the right direction for this game. Think about where we started and where we are now. Granted, I don’t think molten core days of standing in one spot pressing your one ability over and over are it either, but you can’t even raid without some absurd weak auras and other crap. These arena UI’s are absurd. I turn on any sweat can streamer and their UI has more information than the average United Airlines pilot has access to.

This has turned into a constant battle between blizzard and add ons. Who can one up the other? No surprise they’re experimenting with making the environment a part of encounters going forward. I can’t imagine how many nerds are going to complain over having to move their character with finesse since an add on can’t do it for you.

Air horns, “fear”, “fade”, “BAM”. The mes weak aura pack :face_vomiting:.

Remove all this crap.

Sure, even if it does a lot of short term damage to lower mmr. :dracthyr_yay_animated:

I promise you the 1200 players with add ons are not even using them.

While we are at it why dont we all just start using steroids so we are stronger as well…

All the people scared to use any because they’re afraid they wouldn’t be automatically higher. :dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

no… only addons need to be gone is Weak aura’s and gcd trackers

But you don’t have to. They aren’t required to be good, they just make up for where the UI is deficient. A lot of this stuff should just be baked into the game.

These topics are always confusing to me though. The game was intentionally built for addons. Blizzard supplied developers all the tools they would need build off the game.

Tons of people would quit.

Blizzard is the one supplying the tools to make addons possible. That statement makes no sense.

With them though, anyone can be good. I’m extra salty because my spec of choice, arcane, is easily bested by a simple foghorn weakaura.

Arcane mage vs grounding totem, who wins? The grounding totem.

People would quit because of add ons? Weak.

Incorrect

No. Why do you guys think that? Addons aren’t going to make an 1800 player a 2200 player or even a 2200 player a 2400 player.

For more players, addons just improve the UI. For myself, I don’t like sitting close to my screens, but I don’t want to up the UI scale for everything. So I have some weak auras that make seeing some buffs I have easier. That’s it. You guys are arguing against me being able to see. lol…

Just being able to see buffs and rebuffs easily is important. Why should seeing something be difficult? Makes no sense.

No, you’re playing wrong.

Stop blowing massive CDs when grounding is available or when the shaman isn’t in CC.

People would quit because the UI isn’t great. While it has improved, addons make it possible to see stuff more easily.

Mmm most information is already on screen. Bigdebuffs ATT and proper arena frames is all they would need to add to make the base UI good enough imo

Side note if you play any other games it is genuinely weird that Blizzard outsources their UI with third party mods…

I have never heard a single person in the history of wow say “if they delete bagnon I will unsub from this game”

Curiously enough I did stop playing at one point because my bag/mail and bar addons all shattered for a few weeks. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Not as weak as 1200 mmr.

How the hell should I know when grounding totem is available?

Oh right, the great addons arms race.
