Why in the absolute hell are lvl 60’s still allowed in lower lvl bgs…
There is literally no reason to allow cov abilities and maxed out gear into a bg with people who are newer to either the game, the class, the spec, etc…
I’ve heard the arguement “oh they just want to play with their friends” and if that is the case then they need to make a new character and level up with their friend not be allowed to take a highly overpowered character into lower battlegrounds to ruin the gameplay for everyone else because they are impossible to play and win against…
What the hell was blizzard thinking? Does anyone believe that they care about players being happy? We need to band together and make them fix this issue.
At the very least, they need to scale their available abilities down to that of the level bracket. i.e. if a level 60 comes to a 30-39 bracket, they should only have access to the abilities allowed up to level 39, including covenant abilities, which obviously aren’t standard in a 30-39 without those higher levels scaling down into the battleground.
If Covenants are going to be a thing in the lower brackets, I should not have to dumb down my 60s to use even the basic abilities.
Somewhere in Azeroth this system was envisioned. IF this is it, as a leveling player we should have access to the basic abilities too. Level 10?
Blizzard doesn’t have the best track record with things while scaling them down, particularly proc based trinkets and trinkets in general. Having that compounded by some people having access to just extra bonus spells (that vary from eh to very strong) from their covenants is just unneeded in low level bgs. There’s no reason for them to have access to those abilities. It’s the lazy man’s twink, no need to farm exact gears and get specialty enchants, just find a buddy leveling an alt and stroke the ego.
If they want to go stomp things and feel OP they can go run the vanilla dungeons with their low level person or farm old raids where you 1 shot the bosses.
This. So much this. I can understand using Party Sync in Dungeons and Quests, because there is no unbalancing of exploitation really going on there, but there is NO REASON to have it in BGs. This is a flawed system that has been exploited and needs to be fixed.
Being lvl10 in a BG and seeing someone use a covenant ability is ridiculous.
Scaling is another issue that blizz never seems to get right. A lvl10 and a lvl40 can be in the same dungeon, and the lvl10 will out dps the lvl40. Sure its a dungeon and there is no issue with it there, but I am using that as an example of how even scaling would be an issue. In a pvp setting, a lvl10 does not have the same abilities as a lvl60 does. And pvp is not pve, the rules are different but its been treated as if its the same.
Just don’t allow lvl60s in BGs that is not of their own bracket. OR better yet, don’t let anyone not in their leveling bracket get in a lower bracket.
This has been an exploit I’ve noticed since Pre-patch. Maybe even before that, but I know by event, it was happening since Pre-patch.
I don’t understand how people are defending this. Telling people that they just suck or don’t know how the game works. Seriously? A lvl60 in a lvl10 BG is ok? How is that justifiable?
If they ban twinks because of overpowered exploitation, how is this not banned?
if you’re pvping at level 10 i expect you bought/made/enchanted gear so you weren’t bringing down your team with empty slots and white gear? right. we both know the type of player you are.

I would be fine with an honor rollback for anyone caught doing this. It’s clearly an oversight/bug, and people abusing it for effortless wins so they can slaughter people with 15k+ hp advantages is just boring.
If it wasn’t deliberate, I would just want it fixed… But you have to take steps to create this “exploit”.
They need to either make it not possible to do or bring back twinks (solo queue) to defend actual levelers against the greedy predators who are only in it for the free welfare loot they’ll get from daddy blizzard as a reward for ganking lowbies.
You know, I’m willling to bet dollars to donuts that a good percentage of these complainers have downscaled to other brackets as well. Or none of them have any friends. Either way, this is beyond hilarious!
This dude is big badda mad. I don’t know why you’re trying, vehemently, to defend people exploiting pvp queues via level sync – but you do you I guess.
I checked, btw! Just to humor you, at level 50 with full i100 purchased gear, sitting at i100 on the nose, my Balance druid has 11,318 hp. My warrior synced to 59, instead of 58, dropped from 24,590 health to 24,212 health (huge, I know.)
A difference of 12,894 health. With full 100% total stacked equipment, it is a 13k health deficit. Not to mention conduits, soul binds, and everything else. Is your “hill to die on” 2k health difference from my response? Is… is that your big play? that I said 15k difference, and with full twinked i100 50’s you’re at… 13k?
People get really upset about unranked leveling BGs.
You do realize you can just invite your friends too? Because that’s literally what people are doing; playing with their friends.
You’re telling me I have to level alts and keep them scattered around different brackets if I want to do BGs with my friends while they’re leveling? Lolno. Absolutely stupid.
Covenant abilities do need to be disabled outside the 51-59 bracket.
And for people saying that it’s for honor farming?
It’s literally faster to spam max level BGs - especially as Alliance.
If people would actually stop waltzing into bgs with unenchanted gear 20+ ilevels under what the actual bracket is supposed to be, you wouldn’t see an issue. The syncers don’t have access to trinkets outside heirloom ones, and are scaled to be in dungeon gear practically. (I’ve put them side by side with a character I actually did dungeons on. Oops, I was outdamaging them.)
