Blizzard has changed a lot of things.

“No changes” is an expression of desire, not a declaration on the state of the game.

Existing changes do not further justify other changes, in any case.

No it wasn’t.

All you have to do is Google the World of Warcraft manual the one that came with the battle chest. There’s a PDF version you can find online. On page 149 of the manual it states any mail with an attachment takes one hour; mail that only had text only was instant. At launch you could even only attach one item to a message. The instantaneous mail with an attachment (that includes money) between characters on the same account did not come until after vanilla.

In Vanilla, gold from the AH was instant.
Mailing gold to friends and alts was also instant in vanilla. (This changed later on in vanilla to combat gold farmers).
IN BC, they changed AH gold to 1 hour. This was also changed to combat gold farmers.
