Was already announced that pre-bfa will no longer require pathfinder to fly. It will continue to exist in current content. Move on.
I think there should be an option to either complete pathfinder or purchase flight training for each toon.
I also donāt think pathfinder should have a part 2 and when you complete it, you should be able to fly right then and there.

World PVP has never been fund since they forgot to balance PVP, so maybe 12 years ago. And with the introduction of the incentives, the 2 x iLVL squish, and now the level squish it will only get worse. The power difference between person 1 and person 2 to determine who stomps who will be less than 10 iLVL in SL.
Or they can turn off flying for WPVP and put other incentives in place, like additional ore and herbs, they already offer more % on WQās and such.
It is a point a lot of people come to with flying, but in general PVP is garbage at the moment.
Yeah but if you are in WM and not engaging in WM activities, mainly PVP, than you could be more a problem overall than you think.
Look at the AOO quest, what if 10K Horde went on WM to fight the Alliance, but 100K additional Horde only turned on WM for the additional resources?
They would outnumber Alliance, have no issues doing their content and than leaving without fighting back, the Alliance on the other hand would get a free AOO quest and only engage with those 10K who want to fight and have a much easier time than the numbers lead you to believe.
I also donāt think we would be disappointed in the results. There is no way that number of players truly hop onto WM for the outdoor PVP experience. The flying that comes with it makes it much easier than people make it out to be. Fly around looking for lonely enemies to kill, call out for help and people can fly in faster, mount up and fly out without any real issue of being stopped.
No actually I agree with you aside from one thing, for some of us who play alts and those who are late to the part. Because yes by the time it is available you donāt need it if you started at early enough.
But if you come in late, or like myself started levelling your 8th alt this expansion alone, than flying is a god send to help you catch up across all expansions without the need to do the same thing again and again. Itās like getting the toy and BoA FP maps, it helps you go around faster a 2nd+ time without having to run everywhere, again.

I agree, but at this point I would almost rather drop the 5k than wait 9 months.
there is a lot more then just wpvp that is better in the game without flying. im not saying the game shouldnāt have flying, im saying the start of a expansion shouldnāt. as soon as your able to fly it trivializes all the content, which at a point is needed but not when its brand new. if we got flying at max level most of us would experience very little of the game and skip a ton of it. id have flying after 1 day every single expansion and that just isnāt great for the longevity of the game. people complain now content doesnāt come out fast enough even tho some raid tiers are only out long enough for most guilds to dip there toes into a mythic fight. wanna be bored fast, get flying right away and start spending most of your time just porting place to place for dailies and farming ore/herbs. flying is 100% needed and welcomed at a point in each xpac but it should never be introduced as soon as you hit max level. im glad Blizz realizes this and doesnāt cave to the people that want everything for nothing.
Gear does that WAY before flying ever does.
Absolutely not true at all. Maybe YOU would skip it but Iāve played enough expansions with flying right at max level to know thatās not the case for the majority of the players.
Seemed to work great for BC and wrathā¦two of the most wildly popular expansions ever.
Again youāre just plain wrong and numbers prove you wrong. Wow was the most successful when we got flying right at max level. Iām not saying flying is THE REASON it was successful but it absolutely didnāt hurt the gameā¦at all.

People seriously need to stop using the term āforced toā. They arenāt forcing you to do anything. They having you put in effort to get something you really want. Also, most people if they had the chance would skip as much content they could with flying. Which is one of the main reasons why they added pathfinder because they are tired of people skipping content that they spent tons of time on for US. They said it themselves and guess what? They obviously know more what people do in the game than you do since they have all the data.
I swear. This generation of gamers is horrible. Why do you guys even play WoW when all you guys want is everything handed to you and want it doing little to no work? You guys want flying auto unlocked via gold right when you hit max level or before. You want no rep grinds but all the perks of them. You want no gating so you can rush though the content and then sit there in a couple of weeks and complain you have nothing to do now. You want no rng. You want tough content to be easy ie: visions especially multiple masks. You want BiS gear to rain from the skies. You want to get tokens from bosses so YOU can pick the gear you want therefore making the raids worthless in weeks.
So sad.

Rep really isnāt an issue for most people because if you play from day one it is really really hard not to get it.
They do have to stop with this 9 months business because I personally was only doing it then so I would have the ability to fly in that content in the future - after 9 months I have already done everything in that content. If they are giving it for free now, no reason for me to be doing it I will just wait for the freebie.
Also I donāt think making every character doing exploration and story is the way to go in order for that character to fly. Talk about miserable experience if someone has 20 characters. A person doesnāt need to do this 20 times in order to have āexploredā and experienced the content.
Id like to make them do something similar to FF14, where you have to do things within the zone to unlock flying in that specific area.

Except flying doesnāt skip any content. You have to land in order to do any content in the game. The sky has zero content.
Flying is one of the few things that was basically handed to us for many expansions. It was more fun when I could hit max level and take to the skies immediately. Much more fun actually and clearly Iām not alone in thinking this. Youāve drank the kool aid in thinking that flying MUST be earned and anyone who says otherwise is nothing but lazy. Look, weāre all sitting on our butts playing a video game so lets drop the ālazyā or āworkā talk.
Never in all my time playing wow have I EVER complained about nothing to do.
No we just want LESS RNG. RNG on top of RNG within RNG is not fun.
Again no we donāt. We want to be able to target a BiS item, not hope it just happens to RNG into our lap.
