Remix scaling is so broken. I cannot complete ToT at all. It's impossible

why not just do it on retail and one shot everything

wait… so is the problem the scaling, or bad players?

Believe it or not, it isn’t the scaling’s fault. That is how dark animus always was, I took a while and killed it last night on heroic with no Max item level players. If more than two little guys got close enough to tether, they would kill whoever they were hitting. In normal you can probably get away with everyone just standing still and tanking one little guy and killing it but normally you’re supposed to very specifically kill the little guys next to either electrified large constructs without overfilling them or one of the massive constructs without killing any that were electrified.

Yup. That’s what I tell every one of my pug groups to do.

You just can’t muscle through that fight if you don’t do that first part right. Even as OP as I am, I still get destroyed if to many of the little guys get close together

I did it with a PUG last night. Animus was the only fight in there I couldn’t solo heal (granted, none of us really remembered WTF to do in that raid, I hadn’t even been in there in like 11 years). Animus took us 3 attempts; we smacked it on the third, cause we figured out what we were doing.

It’s not bad. I had more fun doing all the raids on normal to get my necklace than I did the S4 rotation in DF. lol.

The scaling at 70 without major gear does suck to play, but I’m still enjoying it. I just wish the grind to upgrade my gear wasn’t as bloody miserable.

Honestly, at the very least they should have made it so that once you got everything to 346, 360 gear starts dropping. Once all your slots are 360, 374 gear starts dropping, and so on and so forth. That would make this hella more tolerable. I have two more pieces to upgrade to 388, and then I can finally start breaking into the 400s. I’m using a gazillion alts to get transmog sets and mounts so my “main” can focus on upgrading gear.

I have a genuine question, are you actually doing mechanics? And are you sure your tanks know what theyre doing? Are you sure you even know what you are doing?

It’s pretty simple. They don’t play their own game, and they don’t pay the sort of people they expect to play it to test new stuff.

Yes, I know what I’m doing. I can’t control an entire raid of other people. This is basically LFR on 3 different levels. Half the people are clueless…

That snide remark is just too delish.

Hot Take, Blizz should make all level 70 to be extra powerful( such as gaining a buff that grants 25% increase in damage dealt, health and reduction in damage taken) so even noobs like me in just 346 gears can breeze through even in tot normal raid.

That’s funny because I just finished ToT on normal with 0 death and now I’m taking a break and I read this thread.

The game isn’t designed to teach people how to play, and some players, naively, don’t know that you have to:

  1. Download addons
  2. Watch tutorial videos and
  3. Analyze log data

to finish a boss in an old dungeon.

Who knew that doing nothing to educate players in-game using in-game systems and assets results in ignorant players?

That’s a gem issue. They can mess up the normal mechanics.

Yeah, they should definitely have an in-game guide that explains exactly how the mechanic that players struggle with works. Maybe they should even mark it with a special mark so people know its important. (/s).

Players tank their own non-electrified golem and keep them separate so they don’t get the damage/speed buff. They shouldn’t even move. It’s really that simple.

Did you know, the only boss that has really bad scaling issues is Iron Quon on LFR? Everything else you just play the mechanics or be geared enough to Zerg them down.

Or you can just get a friendly neighborhood Frogger to carry the entire raid.

YES. THIS. WHY is a lvl 12 ele sham 1 shotting everything in dungeons, I take on 3 enemies and I’m struggling in ilvl 380 gear?

You expect people to READ!?!?!

Because said level 12 only got 1 attack and one aoe while you can press 4 buttons and spend holy powers.

Doesn’t make sense though? Why is a lvl 12’s chain lightning 50x more powerful than mine?

Part of scaling it make accessibility of playing easier. Power goes from high to low to make up for the lack of abilities. At 70 you’re basically ready to begin “dungeon” and maybe “heroic dungeon”. So you got to start the process of gaining power so you beat the 70 scaling, simple as that.

That’s why you should focus on progressing your gear and start putting a minimal ilevel for people to join your raids. And focus on what actually matters. You made a Pally, I guess you want the tusk of Mannoroth or something like that? Maybe not. If it’s just for faming, you’ll make more from heroic raiding once you do those in less time than you waste time on a LFR queues.

If it’s just for mounts or costume… just make a few alts, it’s honestly easy once you got neck / rings. Leveling becomes a joke.

And bare in mind, dungeons doesn’t matter. The low level players just are amplified because of tinker gems which adds up to their absurd low level stats.
