It’s been 6 days now, I have gotten to dark animus several times ON NORMAL, and no necklace because no group can get past it. I’m simply confused. How? How is the scaling SO BAD that groups with 15k+ stamina on each player, none of these groups can clear normal throne of thunder? This is truly awful. People are just so clueless it’s unbelievable. Can’t be bothered to watch a 5 min youtube video or read mechanics, or install DBM… How are people THIS BAD at the game?

Hey, it’s only been a week. You can’t expect Blizzard to fix minor issues like the raids being uncompletable when they’re still taking care of more important things like people grinding bronze on the wrong mobs.

lol it’s not the scalling! players are bad. I did 2 runs to get the kill. one group was so bad we wiped 14 times. the second group did it 3 try (all pugs btw). Players just don’t know how to get 1 mob and stay away from other players mobs!

The Dark Animus fight is just dumb.
Everything before and after is a stomp, but when you get to thie point you actually have to mechanics.
Single Target the first pack only, if a SINGLE PERSON AoEs you just wipe.

I’d argue that even Durumu was a bit of a breakpoint. The blue fogbeast was wiping immediately on exposure for some reason.
We were stuck on durumu for 25+ mins because half the raid had never even looked up a guide or read anything on how to do it. Then we wiped 5x on primordius, same reasons. No one knew to stand in puddles and mutate. I gotta explain everything to every group im in like they’re little babies who have never done anything before
Laziest group I’ve ever seen… It’s honestly kind of depressing too. What incentive is there for me to try a raid knowing that most people aren’t gonna put any effort into reading something for 5 mins and instead spend 45+ mins wiping.

Do the encounter properly and it falls over. This isn’t a scaling issue it’s a skill issue.

Right, and how do I “fix” the skill issue when every one of my groups consists of 9 people other than me?
One tank goes into the corner and generates as much threat as possible
Rest of the ground stands by dark animus and breaks the broken robot right next to him so he activates immediately, everyone ward a hunter pet
Kill him in 10 seconds

find another group! Worked for me.
its because everyone is just playing LFR and watching bosses melt within a few moments for the easy 1250 bronze a day. maybe in a month when everyone catches up to the Frog Crew and are insanely OP, then the Normal/Hero bosses will be no sweat as well.
Daily lockout. You get locked in one bad group, you cant find another for a whole day.
I’ll throw out a theory. Blizz marketed this event as “goofy mayhem”, and from levels 10-69, it basically is. There is NO tanking required on LFR, because everyone is DPS’ing so hard you’ll barely be able to even grab aggro. Therefore, unless you know these fights from back in the day, you are NOT being prepared for actual tanking mechanics.
So if you then try Normal, where suddenly mechanics matters, you won’t be prepared. Blizzard has trained us in Remix to not tank, and suddenly you need to pay attention. And most people won’t be ready for that.
But there’s an underlying problem to all this. Why, Blizz, why did you tie the necklace to Normal content, when absolutely everything else is aimed at casual content? It makes absolutely no sense.
Remix should be casual fun at 70+ just like the leveling experience. But it definitely isn’t. The game reverts to a gear grind, learning fights from 12 years ago, no group finder, etc. None of that is casual content.
Anyway, that’s my own theory. I’m sure at least parts of it are correct.

I agree with every word you said. 10-69 is hilarious and fun, lighthearted… 70 is miserable. Truly awful, everything is hard, boring, slog, grind. What’s the point of a “fun lighthearted” mode, where its abysmally difficult like retail?
