I may, I’m slow to embrace big changes I’ll admit it’s a flaw but I’ll look into it… the main appeal of dominos was that it just let me move my bars easily and things just “fit”. The keybindings helped me go from clicking buttons to doing solid rotations because all my buttons were easy for me to move as I needed on the fly.
yea, I still have to go into settings on all my alts and select go raid frames, show colours, show pets, no borders…, auto loot… that would have been huge under a profile.
No. I spent almost 4 hours on that (including some test runs and dummy practices) only to go back to using bartender and SUF … (and hide the talking head).
Some of us need a very clean HUD and this talking head is just terrible to have in my face…
So yeah, the new UI/HUD is a STEP in the correct direction but in no way complete or even just “ok”. I would give it a 70/100 (maybe 60?)
Its kinda tasting a slice of half baked pizza with just half the toppings you like…
You can save it on one toon and thn RELOAD it on the others.
Big THANK YOU to whoever it was in that Kara run that told me this
Can you be a bit more specific? I’m pretty sure we’re talking about different things. I am aware of the HUD layout presets, not something for say, autoloot.
65/100, I’d say because it does a lot of things that I like such as allowing me to move the chat bar if I wanted so I could have my mog window open and read replies. It’s the lots of “little” things that keep it from being higher in my book. I may try shifting it around more later but I’m beat… (from RL).
What do you mean move the chat bar? The general chat window was moveable by dragging the tab before tues. Since patch you cannot move the chat window except through editor mode, which you’d have to close say transmog window for. Maybe we’re talking about different things though?
This is a joke right!? That is awful.
LOL, content creators don’t actually play the game.
what do you mean, Bellular talks about his 215 monk all the time
Haven’t had issues since the day of the patch. Aesthetic wise and ease of editing is what I’m talking about. Bugs will come and go and are not a permanent or intended thing so not what I’m referring to.
I’m so sorry you folks are having a tough time with the ui.
I set it up in less than 5 minutes one time, saved the profile and copied it to all my toons.
I honestly am pleased with the new ui, it’s a 1000% better than the old one.
Ofc they could add a few more options but it is a fantastic start.
Took me 10 minutes. I missed the part where you had to click on certain things you need to see. Once I saw that then yes, 5 minutes.
AND … I really am a boomer.
Gray scale menu, hunter pet frame is glued to hunter frame. Talking heads are on all the time regardless of the setting. And on and on and on.
So, I logged in and on curiosity, decided to try the “Classic” preset that was mentioned earlier.
Wanna know what it does?
It…
Moves your character’s unit frame from bottom-center of the screen to the top-left.
THAT’S ALL IT DOES.
That’s literally the only difference between the “Modern” and the “Classic” presets.
lol. okay.
Amazing is a strong word, but it’s good. Better than the old one by a huge margin.
I very much dislike the new UI. No matter how much I mess with it I can’t make it just like the old one. I imagine the problem will be solved with an addon though.
I get it if they want to change it, but it’s really not hard to just simply leave the old ui in as an option for those who want it.
Yeah, sure did. Sorry it’s too complex for you
There could be back-end code reasons as to why they can’t put the old UI in as an option and hey I get that.
But seriously, the “Classic” preset doesn’t even move the hotbars to a similar orientation and size as to the original setup?
I mean, I could do that myself if I wanted to, but I’d expect a “CLASSIC PRESET” button to do that for me, instead of me having to do it myself and make a custom preset so I could transport it to other characters.
I like it. It’s not perfect but it’s sure as hell better than that fossil they called a UI that came before it.
