The new UI is fine. It’s definitely in the good enough range for the general population. Many people will stop using as many add-ons. For players who want more from the UI, add-ons exist to fulfill your customization needs.

The new UI is good in some ways, but terrible in others.
The menu buttons are in greyscale and are super tiny you can’t tell what any of the buttons actually do. You can’t resize them without obscure macro commands.
the Minimap is ABSOLUTELY FARKING HUGE, again, can’t resize it.
Can’t move the XP bar.
XP bar is a transparent tube with letters on it which might be hard to see in bright environments.
Can’t stretch HP bars or get rid of the annoying animated portraits on them.
I like the idea behind the new UI but they really need more fixes and tweaks.

You can resize some things, like, the unit frames. You can make them bigger but yet you can’t stretch the width without also increasing the height (which makes them REALLY HUGE). You also can’t make them smaller though which is really weird.
You can resize the hotbars (thank God, because the default hotbars are for kindergartners), but you can’t change much else (I’d love to shrink the bag UI some, for starters, I don’t need giant phone UI bag slots).

The new UI is fine, but I’d still recommend hanging on to Bartender as that allows you to re-scale the microbar and dismiss the bagbar.

It has both good points and drawbacks. I can’t say that it’s been a real gamechanger.

Whoever works on Bartender4 fixed the LFG eyeball, button borders, shift-clicking buttons, AND added 4 new bars overnight. Compare that to however long it took for blizz’s C team to develop the new ui in it’s current state

Yeah, for most of us that were already using addons the new UI makes no difference. It was close to replacing my add-ons but it had some issues I couldn’t ignore. Now, my UI is pretty much exactly the same as it was last week thanks to Bartender.
