It is merely a promotion to acquire more players, just like the Hearthstone mount and HotS mount. They will always run promotions.

Personally I like these cross promotions, especially given they’ve so far been in their F2P games. I wish they’d do more, but then again Heroes is dead and I’m not so sure about OW2 anymore, lol.

All of the Classic deluxes have had retail mount rewards actually. The lizard for BC and the Tuskar kite for Wrath. And I could be misremembering but I’m pretty sure the alabaster wyvern/gryphon were part of some kind of special edition of the original Classic.
Yeah I’m cool with them, might get people to try new games. I’m still mad I missed out on the flamesaber from Heroes, wish they would trot it back out for a weekend.
Business does basic cross-promotion to increase awareness and participation in its services.

Any idea how long this promotion lasts? I have potato internet and downloading Classic after just downloading Dead By Daylight is a tall order.

I don’t remember, I don’t know why they’d change tact, and also, who cares. The mount is great and this is a low cost, high ROI situation. Don’t look a gift drake in the gift mouth.
Lol how many players are deciding to play wotlk classic after doing the dk starting Zone? My guess is zero.

They also mentioned how Looking for Dungeon wasn’t keeping with the Classic Experience, and in the same post talked about the boost being added in Wrath Classic.
How many did they get with HotS? Or Hearthstone? Most I know did not continue even there. But Blizzard still had their login time to the game for that promotion.

And it’s something many people are likely to get naturally considering the amount of people jumping on WotLK classic to get a feel and naturally rolling a DK to fit with the times.
