Who cares if the character, themselves, were not loyal to the Horde in their heads? The importance is not the soulless npc; the importance is what players think about the soulless npc. And I thought Nathanos was about to heel-face-turn. Even if others didn’t, a great overwhelming many feel that Nathanos and Sylvanas were Horde and that has meaning.

Yes. What players think about the hero characters who represent them matters. What players think about nameless npcs who die to hand them Victim Cards isn’t important.

The difference here is that I’m not saying we’ve lost anything by losing those nameless NPCs. The nameless NPCs in Lordaeron make me mad because I couldn’t do anything about it, and none of our named NPCs react to it, besides Saurfang. Sylvanas betrayed the cornerstone of all Forsaken belief: Everyone deserves Free Will.

Sylvanas betrayed both the Honor Horde and the Forsaken in one single move. Those NPCs are superfluous. Her actions are not. The Horde cast’s inaction is not.

Nameless guys who die: Do not matter.
Hero characters who perform actions or do not perform actions: Actually Matter.
