I don’t know if it’s going to be a tab like SOD is. Maybe?
The original HC has been moved to the same list as the other realms.
you say us as you’re speaking for the whole WoW community. I would say speak for yourself, not everyone wants classic+

Coke Classic this ain’t. This is built around min/max leveling reward format. it may as well be War Within “Taking a look back” at how fast the leveling is. I’m done. I think a player made server may be a better option for this format as Blizzard is confused.
That, and no Random Dungeon Finder.
Please keep these servers locked to The Burning Crusade.

I just hope we get permanent versions of wrath classic era realms soon.
Man create servers locked at bc classic and another server locked at wrath classic. Thats all i want.

Yes same. I want to stay in a permanent wrath classic era realm from blizzard themselves.
I hadn’t started playing WoW back when it kicked off in 2019 so this is a boon.
I kind of wish I hadn’t. If I had known they were just going to go forward and delete wrath classic servers as permanent options from existence I never would have wasted my time. Because cata classic is not classic.

This marks my 15th restaart since Aug 26 2019 at 6pm, thats when classic went live. We never did get a true wow classic, we got a waterd down version, but I guess true wow would be dificult to play as nobody knows how to cc anymore. The tank n spank introduced halfway throgh LK still rules which sucks. Makes tanking borning. Am hoping the anivarsary run ends at TBC and dosnt go to LK. We keep going back to original for a reason guys, we HATE retail. take the hint
Meh I personally hope it stops in wrath. But that is just me. Make permanent bc era and wrath era realms and be done with it in my op.
I mean wrath had weapon skills and leveling up and progression. I also want zero dungeon finders to. One of the worst changes ever to the game in my op.
I honestly liked wrath the most. And everyone has different flavors they like the best. At the same time, our knowledge has increased, so it is all easier now. I liked the dungeons and the raids in wrath. As well as the pvp and the overall progression and leveling up.
Vanilla would be better if they had the old like patch 1.0 of the game. With AV matches that lasted forever. Everything is to standardized in retail. Wrath was a fine standard that wasn’t overkill.
But if they made a permanent wrath era server that is where I would stay. I also liked the class designs in wrath also.
I think alot of us just don’t want anything past wrath. Cataclysm broke the game into like a million pieces. Way to much change.
And as much as I enjoy vanilla, Some of the class designs are a bit derpy. I mean paladins just feel so much better with avenger’s shield. And wrath was peak paladins anyways. At least to me.
I definitely don’t feel like vanilla and bc should be the only options. I for one was never big on bc even back in 2007. I just wasn’t a big fan.
I just don’t feel like wasting my time again only to have zero permanent bc and wrath era realms made. We have vanilla but not everyone wants vanilla.
I’d love it if you’re transmog carries over. aka, get a old piece of armor you can no longer get anymore in anniversary? Congratz, your retail account get’s it unlocked, same with mounts ect.
If not then there is little point even touching this new round of classic, in my opinion.

It sucks bad. Never ever do layers again there is nothing to kill you run around for hours looking for something. Ruins the game experience I hate Blizzard for how they handled this release Big middle finger to the people calling the shots you blew it!
I love when people say things like this because they have no clue what they’re talking about. You’re never going to get a true classic experience ever again. Why? Because it was horrible and nobody wants that.
Vanilla cannot physically be the same because they lost the code. They rebuilt classic from the ground up using the legion client as a base.
Even if they could replicate the old vanilla code, you wouldn’t want it. Do you really want 200ms spellbatching back in the game? Do you really want players being dropped off in the middle of the ocean and dying to fatigue?
You also need to make a few changes on your end for the true classic experience. Downgrade your pc to a Pentium 4, Windows XP, 4 GB Ram and disconnect your cable/fios internet and hook up ISDN or 56k dialup. Something tells me you’re just yappin and complainin though and don’t really want the old experience.

You can look up that information yourself on youtube. It was a panel at the Blizzcon which Classic was announced.
According to Wikipedia the claim was that original art and data were used with a more recent version of the game so that Blizzard could run classic on existing infrastructure.
There was no mention of lost source code.
So even though I said for you to do this and that the information if there if you try, you didn’t bother to do any research beyond a wiki page.
Here is the actual youtube Blizzcon panel. It explains how the source code was lost and that they only had a version that was incompatible, how they had to ditch it and use the legion client as a source.

Here’s also a forum post with users doubting the viability of Blizzard using the Legion source code for Vanilla/Classic.
I’d be so happy if they let me choose with expansion to play. I’d like to have a character in classic, one in TBC and one in Wrath, the 3 expansions I like most. I feel weird when they force me to jump to next expansion.
I don’t have a lot of time to play and it’s hard to gear a character that then will be outdated 
Please Blizzard, work on this!
