World of Warcraft in 2004 literally saved my life. I was a miserable, depressed, and had just turned 26 years old on the 15th, the week before. I didn’t really have any friends at all, that I hung out with. In WoW, I got to meet some incredible people, some of which I’ve met in person, and still speak with to this day. For me, WoW is more than just a game. It did more for me than any prescribed medication my doctors ever gave me.
In 2019, as we know, we go to relive WoW Classic. Once they brought out Classic Cata, I switched to WoW Classic Seasonal. I was gutted there wasn’t at least 1 or 2 Classic Wrath servers. So for them to re release Classic again along with Burning Crusade, will bring both a lot of joy and some pain, as I am slightly burnt out on leveling up characters for the past 20 years lol. I hope you are all as excited as I am.

This or no further than Wrath. In my humble opinion, they should have ALWAYS kept at least 1 or 2 BC and Wrath servers. This way people can literally pick their preferred expansion along the way, without being forced to progress to a version of WoW that you may not enjoy. I switched to Classic Seasonal once Classic Cata came out.

Because leveling in classic is like 90% of the fun and it’s by far the most fun when everyone else is also doing it.
Classic Endgame sucks but with the way everyone plays now everyone sprints to the finish line and then everything else is dead.
Fresh Servers are nice for people who like having a lively world for leveling.
Admittedly the early parts will be just as dead about a month in as they always are, but that month will be nice.

After playing for 20 years, my favourite way of play these last few years, is getting max level, some half decent dungeon gear, and just roam around random zones, buffing people, healing, and helping with quests, as Classic WoW is arguably one of the closest things to souls difficulty for an MMO. You literally can’t do that in Retail. Zones are dead for one, unless you’re in the latest expansion’s map. Many buffs have been removed. The game is easier. People will laugh at you if you offer help on Retail. I’m glad Classic is getting re released again with fresh servers. Only thing I hate is when they go beyond Wrath of the Lich King. Though I won’t get into that discussion any further on here lol.

It is never the same, since most of my friends stopped playing years ago, I don’t run into random WOW players as often and people aren’t talking about it everywhere like in 2004.

Because they envisioned some magical classic plus with an alternate story and stuff, which will never happen.
People built up an alternate reality and then got mad when it wasn’t what they thought.
They want blizz to make essentially a whole new MMO, it’s unrealistic.

I feel you. Though when I buff random people in WoW Classic / Seasonal, or simply help them with a quest, I find the Classic crowd more grateful. Sometimes I get into some small talk which is really nice, and still better than when I try Retail.

will it go through all of the progression eventually? lich king, cata and mop? I don’t want to play if its just going to stagnate at the end of TBC.
I might try it again. If I do, I will roll a Paladin, since when I first started in Vanilla, my buddy that got me into the game was already a Paladin and I didn’t want to play the same class as him.
I hope Blizzard can stop these GDKP stuffs, I was so sick of it in last time and the non stop power level spam

Tbh SoD sucked. It was a total let down after the hype and excitement stopped carrying the game. There was like 2 people working on it and one was a janitor.

Could we maybe get some more info on this launch? Here it is the 21st and very little has been said. So we will need to log into Warcraft Classic / Classic Era correct? New servers will be in a tab at the bottom of the server list? How many servers? Will there be an RP server?
