Instead of having phase 2 last for God knows how long. I think it would better if phase 3 was released earlier so that we had more time with it. Currently the schedule is 3 months of firelands. That’s not enough time especially considering the legendary questline. We REALLY do not need phase 2 for 3 months. The PTR for firelands should go up at the end of August imo. This will give us at least another month to raid firelands pushing it to 4 months instead of 3.

Yes but the devs have already stated pre cata in interviews that they would be willing to extend firelands because that is the most liked raid in the expansion.

As for legendary, its still going to be good in Dragonsoul, so people will still be running Firelands in P4.
They’re probably doing that release because of tww. Unfortunate because I won’t be playing it
I hate to break it to you but its not going to happen. You might get to late September as “early” but thats about it. Sure, maybe they extend Firelands but also Firelands is pretty small and if you can kill H:Nef now you arent going to have very much progression in there outside of Rag. Firelands is very much going to be a one night blow out then snooze out within a month for a lot of people. Probably the same people that are board of the current stuff in T11… because if you were still hard progressing and had a ton of stuff to farm you probably wouldnt mind it… but odds are you are done or at least done to the point of where you can get it done.
They are not releasing Firelands early. The only thing they would do is delay dragon soul release for a few more weeks.
I know the legendary staff situation is terrible with 3 months of Firelands.
phase 2 just launched and im sitting here with one and a half hours on a dungeon queue. They have really screwed up classic with all these competing things splitting the player base… i dont really care what they do at this point. It doesnt matter if no one is playing the game.

That seems like a bug. I mean as bad as I’ve seen things over the years I’ve never seen a dungeon reach that long unless it was bugged. LFR and AV at points and time yeah but not dungeons.
I would be fine with the second week in September in terms of how I feel about my first tier completion, but we have to be careful not to press the button too close to The War Within, as that could stifle Firelands enthusiasm a bit. Given that, it probably will just end up being October. They can always push Dragon Soul back a bit if needed.

They’ve screwed up so badly so many times that people are just quitting and not coming back. If Blizzard wasn’t such a terrible game developer, the Classic team would be fired after this atrocious dropoff in players:

I would enjoy seeing phase 3 being released sooner.
There is not much to do right now.
Same, I’ve been leveling all my retail toons to 70 through Mop remix just to pass the time lol.
