Ghostcrawler was the Lead Systems Designer. He didnāt have nearly as much impact on the game as you think he did. He was just the most vocal dev so he caught flak for anything that people hated.
Ion on the other hand, is the Lead Game Designer, heās the highest position in the WoW hierarchy.

I saw the behind the scene, Vashjir was his baby, he was a Marine biologist, he crafted that zone to be realistic with a fantasy twist, that is why that zone is so amazing and frustrating for people.
Real under water look like that and is just as difficult to navigate, but if you take a step back to admire it, it is beautiful.

If people wanted him gone for good reasons then that is the argument I would use to defeat the OPās request to get him back. Were there good reasons for hating him, or was he just the most accessible representative available, and a convenient target for flak?

Well the concept of ārehiringā someone who left of their own volition to go work for another company is fairly flawed premises.
Personally iād rather greg work on another age of empires game but, as far as iām aware hes happy at riot so i doubt heād leave to work on old projects like wow / aoe.
