What’s the point of delves?
I have Bran to 15, so leveling him
isn’t happening anymore.
Nothing useful drops.
I’m just wondering, what’s the point of Delves?
They’re reminding me of the Follower Dungeons…
where you also receive nothing useful for doing them.
Both systems are great ideas…being implemented
in frustrating ways.
Why would I bother to do either?

They’re going to get more interesting after season 1 starts. You’ll get better gear. Patience, little one.

The cosmetic rewards are the only reason i’ve seen so far. Supposedly they’ll be part of the Great Vault system, so it will give an incentive to grind higher tiers for better weekly rewards

If your main gameplay is mythic+ or raids, there is probably no point to delves. Maybe you will want that extra gear choice in the vault each week. Maybe you’ll skip them entirely.
For people who don’t do mythic+ or raid, they provide an additional pillar of end game they can try. The bountiful delves give better rewards but people are limited because you can’t do the higher tiers until the season starts.
Being able to turn the Delve mount into a void rocket blimp has had me close to making a Void Elf Hunter with engineering just based on that alone lol.

The. Season. Hasn’t. Started. Yet.
The person you’re responding to just told you this. You’re locked to tier 3’s, in one week you can climb them as high as you like and get relevant end-game gear for doing them.

They will have a purpose once season 1 starts, but I think they’ve done a bad job with implementation in these first couple of weeks. I can’t help but feel like it is a staggeringly bad decision to let your hallmark feature of an expansion to sit as dead content for the first 3 weeks

my main gameplay is solo…
which is why i was psyched when
i saw the idea of ‘follower dungeons’,
which didn’t pan out with anything useful…
and now delves which, so-far, appear to be following suit.
i presumed that i was missing something…
thanks for informing me that these systems are functioning
as intended…too bad…lost potential.

I do feel that they should’ve, at least made Delves cap at Rank 5 since launch, to give the slight taste of the higher ilvl gear from the bountiful ones (long as it isnt them terrible water delves lol) and more of the dastardly risks that will start appearing.

On the 10th delves will be awarding as much as 606 ilvl gear if you can clear them. You should also have 20+ keys ready to go to open every big bountiful delve chest you get.

They’ll drop currency on the 10th which you can use to buy toys and cosmetics. Part of the feature is to allow you to buy customizations for your Dirigible as well. In addition, you’ll be able to buy 580 loot I believe that is warbound.
On the 10th you can also do all the way up to Tier 11 if you’d like and eventually fight Zek’vir. If you complete a Tier 8 you can earn 616 heroic raid loot in the vault each week as well.
There’s also a glory of the delver I think.

what does that mean?
Well we can’t raid, do m+, or earn rating in ranked PvP.
Usually there’s a week to let everyone get through the levelling at their own pace and be ready for endgame, but two is a bit much.

I am pretty sure running delves will count towards the vault as well when S1 starts. So, running max tier is likely going to give you some nice rewards each week. Right now, only point in doing them is to get some experience with the layout etc.
