Refunds on The War Within?

Basically I want a refund on my pre order. Any advice? Keywords to say to support? Or should I just go through my bank at this point?

Go to the support site, open a refund purchase ticket.

So far, no luck. Like, full on “what? refunds? we never allow refunds for anything ever now go away” type responses

This will only succeed if you’ve not used anything within the pre-order yet, like the pets, mounts, tendies, gametime etc. If you did, the refund is likely to fail.

Even if you manage to chargeback through your payment method the next time you return to Blizzard you’ll still be owed to pay until you can access your account again.

Hey, long as I get my money back, that’s the big thing at this point. And no, as far as I know, I haven’t used any of the pre order goods.

Also, if you do a chargeback, Blizzard will lock your account until the money is paid back.

I would seiously avod a charge back thats the wost thing you can do.

Noto why its being declined is youve probably used a few of the perks that came with the pre purchase.

That’s not true, Uri. There’s circumstances where refunds are granted.

And as for those hyperbolic responses, what have you tried and allegedly failed?

If you’ve only done the automated refund you can try the manual ticket to ask then if you’re convinced you didnt’use the pre-order goodies yet in Leilleath’s post.

Well, the mount and pet are automatically added to your journal upon logging in, does that count? Because I sure wasn’t the one to “used” them

Well boost being used counts if you got that version.

So far, two tickets. Only to be told a blanket “no refunds”

Who signed the replies? A generic ‘support team’ or a specific GM?

Try using the path I provided up towards the top of all of this. Usually better luck with it. Sometimes with the self-service it gives the denial due to some metric on the account.

What edition did you buy?

Normal, then an upgrade to Deluxe Edition two days later. I also put in a ticket using the route Leilleath suggested. I am wondering if technically being on the last month of my game time (for a few days now) might be causing issues… but part of that was from slow weekend response times to tickets.

That doesn’t make sense as the game has not been officially released. Even if you played in the BETA you could still refund up until the official release date.
