Refund Question

Hello,

I am looking for feedback on what I should do here:

I accidentally purchased the annual WoW subscription when I meant to purchase the monthly subscription. I played a few hours before I realized my mistake. After realizing, I cancelled the annual subscription and submitted a ticket for a refund. The system would not let me submit an automated/categorical one, so I guess you’d call it a ‘manual’ ticket.

I would love a refund but also would love to keep playing while this gets resolved. I am debating starting a new monthly subscription during this process but would hate for that to somehow complicate or interfere with the refund.

What should I do? My gut says don’t play and wait to see what happens but surely anyone who reviews the situation will see I resubscribed at a monthly rate before continuing to play.

I did also read I should wait for Blizzard to respond before taking any kind of action with my bank.

Thanks

Unfortunately, not playing and waiting to hear back on the manual ticket is the best thing you can do. The amount of time played can absolutely negate the refund request, and then to compound it with a monthly sub while trying to get the annual one resolved? It is only kicking the door open to misunderstandings and even more headache for both you and the GM.

It sucks, and I’m sorry I’ve nothing better to offer, since you do really want to play. You’re just going to have to be patient while you wait on your ticket.

Good luck.

Wait for them to answer your ticket! Nothing else you can do.

If you do a charge back that will really screw up your account. Would end up leaving it locked until the amount is paid back.
