If none of us have them then everyone is “worse” and as a result real skill shines again.
Also eliminating these lowers the skill floor for arena making it more appealing for new players who we are all dependent.

All these bot like “addons” and somehow people still suck and can’t complete a dungeon that’s been out for 15 years
Funny enough the reason for this is due to players over dependency on addons, so that anything that isn’t covered by them becomes a hard mechanic. That’s why lesser played specs / hero talents tend to do well in lower elo matches.
If there isn’t a WA going off for your spec then the enemy team will basically let you do whatever you want till its been done enough they learn it.
Which is a major issue when it comes to addon design, you remove WAs and most players are just lost. How much of that is an addon being helpful vs the addon literally covering for 90% of your lacking awareness to things that ARE shown to you clearly enough by the ui?

Blizzard has done a good job with visual cues (sound is good too) for most stuff by default
But you cant expect them to add the little things as alerts by default (like a ret having hammer of light ready with two stacks of dawn and divine arbiter at 25 stacks). To track these things addons come into play. Do you really need to track that on the enemy ret or demolish stacks on warriors? Idk But wings , avatar, evasion, cloak, incarn all of these have noticeavle visual cues.
I remember everybody having to figure out weakauras in SL because a crane kick proc in a stun just ended you and anybody near you

I play with standard UI and honestly some of the Addons I see people with seems basically like cheating the system to me. Just throwing that out there. It’s like bots in the sense that it’s like play the game or don’t play the game but don’t have a computer play the game for you

I wish they would just ban all add-ons entirely. The length of my addon list is atrocious and every single one is something I cannot go without in pvp.
