Long time coming, the amount of crutch addons is unreal. A game should not have 3rd party software to be basically mandatory.

Or like Archimonde? Fight design being influenced by every player having a spaceship ui creates an arms race between devs on each end.

I don’t think addons make a player automatically glad caliber, but they do help a player be more aware of the other teams win conditions. A good player with the latest tech in weak auras will put them ahead.
Getting rid of some of the biggest offender addons will definitely skill check a lot of these addon players and make perception a more important skill again, which is an overall win for fair competition.

You trust blizz to make a functioning ui like gladius? They didnt even let us fully customize our ui with the latest updates

Yup, I remember having to find a solution when the new spellbook came out…
If they brick addons thatll mean ill be the true winner here. I havent used ANY addons except xperl and details
My brain struggles to make use of addons, it’s only fair! 
I need some more(any) arena addons and WAs. I could absolutely get higher CR with them and adding sound to my gameplay.

You’re all in denial about addons not being crucial or stating that it wouldn’t drastically change the PvP landscape forever. I saw what you all looked like in arena during the beta without addons.

Omnibar, OmniCD, Gladius/sArena, Bigdebuffs (default settings) are all one needs to get top of the ladder. Diminish if you’d like. 
They’re all free and probably take less than a minute to download them all.
