I wanted to get red winter clothes like I have seen so many people wearing. So went to the auction house only to discover that since my character is female, it automatically makes it an outfit with essentially a bra and shorts. Which is fine for anyone who wants that. I have no issue with that. What I have an issue with is that it is the only option and my personal preference is to have pants and I know I’m not the only one who has that preference. Why do they force the females to have that outfit and force the males to have the suit? Why not make the skimpy outfit available to all genders as Red Winter Shorts and the pants outfit as Red Winter Suit? Why make it gender locked? It seems like an easy enough fix to make everyone happy. Not that it should matter but I’m a female irl.
Ive said for years they need to release a tailoring upgrade to the Christmas outfit, to match the toy that gives you one.
Yea it would be sweet if we could make the one from the toy. Always wished we could.
Totally agree Ailuros. I think it’s weird that they aren’t setup as two separate outfits. Didn’t they used to have them all as separate pieces years ago? I can’t remember but this year at least they’re one-piece “chests” that apply to the entire outfit (besides boots and hats) so you can’t transmog different pants or anything with it.
I was looking forward to wearing the skimpy outfit on my male characters for fun but was really disappointed that they are locked into their separate genders and it almost seems out of character for Blizzard. I’m more surprised that they force the females to wear the skimpy outfits only. Like, I don’t have any issue with the outfits, it just seems a really weird choice to force each gender to have different outfits that seem to be sexualizing the females and not the males.
Because they are trying to offend you. It’s all a giant conspiracy.
They just haven’t succeeded, maybe next year.
Because those are the species norms. Guy’s don’t wear short shorts and women don’t wear too many power suits for entertainment (except for maybe the 80’s).
Didn’t you make this thread a week ago? To which I reminded you a week ago that you’re complaining about a set that’s quite literally over a decade old, and it’s not going to be changed, and you don’t have to wear it if you don’t like it.
Edit: Correcting myself, this isn’t the same OP who made a very similarly written thread last week.
Shadina, she said she doesn’t have any issue with the outfit. She just wants to wear the other one. That’s what this thread is about. Learn to read before you make yourself look more like a moron.
I did. And the same thing was said then. Gender locked outfits have been a thing since Vanilla. This is no different, and isn’t going to be changed for this one either.
Um this is my first post? lol Sorry, you’re getting me mixed up with someone else. But thanks for the automatic aggressive response. And I’m not asking for the outfits themselves to be changed. Just made available to everyone regardless of gender.
Holy hell, whoever sets up popcorn stand in this thread will be filthy rich.
More than likely it’s just a lack of motivation to change them, having one per gender is the fastest and easiest way to do it.
I wouldn’t personally care if they made two different ones per gender, ton of people are half naked anyway so what do I care if a few dudes walk around in shorts.
Shadina, so your logic is… because something IS a certain way, mean it should never be changed. So we should never have opinions or tastes or preferences? We should never want anything to ever be new or different and just accept the world as it’s given to us? If that’s the case, then tell that to the people who made Warcraft. They had an idea and turned it into reality. That seems pretty outrageous of them… they should’ve just stuck with pen and paper by your logic?
If you let girls wear the boy clothes you have to go both ways. Are you sure you want a bunch of male dorfs running around dancing on tables while wearing a skimpy Mrs Clause costume.
Don’t 1v9, just walk away, it ain’t worth it. Trust me.
To everyone else I say: I’m not with Shadina at all, I don’t know her. Please don’t report me.
runs for his life
YES! That’s exactly what I want.
None of that was said. You’re reading things which aren’t there. I said they’re not going to change a decade old set and that if the OP doesn’t like it, that’s okay and they don’t have to wear it. Very simple. Especially considering WV ends tomorrow.
Thanks for your opinion that other people aren’t allowed to have opinions. You added so much to this discussion.
It is a little too late now, but there is a toy you can get from the stolen present that drops a box that gives you neat Christmas outfits.
lol who do you think you are that you get to speak on behalf of Blizzard entertainment, as if you’re the authority on the subject. What’s the point of the forums if it’s not to have community discussion? Just showing up and saying no to anyone that has an idea or suggestion that you don’t agree with is a very small minded response. Sorry your life apparently sucks. I mean, everyone’s does to some degree but to get to the point of coming online to take it out on people in a public setting is crazy sad. Hope your life gets better.
I vote for the male skimpy outfit!
