People are paranoid about ninjas.
The Red Sword of Courage is BiS until you get a Naxx 25 drop from KT or Four Horsemen, so maybe that’s why people don’t want competition for it.
Go as prot and tank the dungeon and you can roll on any tank gear you want.
Or put together a group where the tank already has the sword.
Otherwise, stop being a greedy idjit.

honestly this, I don’t mention anything about OS until the roll comes up. People get very fidgety in a group loot situation due to ninja rolls.
But I don’t think you did anything wrong, just maybe wait until the end of the dungeon to ask about it.
I mean, everyone is one at some point.

Too many idjits play this game and think they are entitled to everything.
Its considered bad etiquette to need on something that is not your main spec without confirming with the other person who could need it for thier main spec.

The tanks in my runs often told me there are greedy dks rolling need on their tank gears and they stop inviting plate dps to their runs
Pondering how hard it would be to attach roles to items so that a need roll by a tank on the Red Sword would override a need roll by someone who can use it, but is not in the dungeon as a tank. Caster gear would be difficult, if not impossible, to sort into DPS vs. healer buckets, beyond +hit as a differentiator.

Most tanks in my guild got lucky but 1 or 2 tanks are still not seeing the sword. Feels bad for them.
In a couple weeks it’ll be getting disenchanted.
By groups that don’t need them… it’s already getting DE’d. Utgarde Pinnacle isn’t a raid.

This is why I ML in heroics on certain bosses as a tank. Wotlk is a true ninja expansion. I have already seen ninjas handful of times not staying true to their words. World of ratcraft tbh lmao
