Recruit a friend help - rewards not received after 8 days

So I keep getting what seems like bot answers through support via ingame.

I used the RAF code to send to my girlfriend who then applied 6 month gametime to get WoW1 account. One GM ingame said that she was supposed to apply it to WoW2 but then closed the ticket when I said why WoW1 account on her battlenet. I have not received my ingame rewards even after 8 days so something is wrong.

Can I please get a human to respond and help me with my issue.

You will have to reopen the ticket with i still need help and trust me its not a bot its a real genuine person.

Was this one a new license or had it been unfunded for more than two years before she applied game time to it? That’s the only way that license would have been eligible for RAF.

I suspect the WoW2 was created as a result where the WoW1 did not meet the conditions and is instead where your link is.

Well when we were trying to apply the 6months, it didn’t allow us to apply it to WoW2 so we were forced to use WoW1 which also was her leveling account.

Which makes it sound like that’s a license she regularly plays and adds game time to, thus making it ineligible for RAF.

To qualify, a license must either be newly created within the last seven days or gone an exact minimum of 24 months with no game time added.

Ohhh, so we are out of luck? And I’m guessing they will not refund the gametime…

They might, if it was added to an existing subscription or block of game time and sits currently untouched.

She’d need to use the Support site and navigate to refunds. The automated system might deny her but she should then be presented with a ticketing option for a GM to take a look with some more nuance. Without knowing when it was purchased and how much time was on that license already at the time of purchase, I cannot say for sure.

Thank you friend. She is doing that now!

If you are still looking to do the Recruit a Friend promotion, I’d probably stick with the WoW#2 license on the account. WoW#1 wouldn’t currently be eligible, but WoW#2 was successfully linked, so it just needs game time.

Hopefully your girlfriend’s purchase can be refunded. Good luck!

I wish it said that somewhere because we were not aware at all!

For future lookers.

To recruit a friend, your friend’s WoW account must match one of the below descriptions:

  1. Your friend’s account is new, created in the last 7 days.
  2. Your friend hasn’t had paid game time for over 24 months. If your friend has returned and had paid game time in the last 7 days, they are still eligible to accept your invite.

In addition to the Support article Kozzae shared, there’s also the official RAF page.

Which also redirects to the Support article, I rescind the above. Would’ve sworn up and down that I saw it shared directly on that page.
