Recruit A Friend: Fetch Your Friends for Fresh Rewards

I hear you on that. I don’t like it either - not even the colors. I don’t want any of these rewards. At this point, I’d only really be doing RaF for the free game time. It’s too bad they don’t have like 3 RaF packages and you can choose which set of items you want to earn (then could change any time - or even once per month). Watch the Trading Post for the Renowned Explorer’s set tho. I have a feeling either the exact set or a slight recolor/update may appear.

If you still have active recruits on the previous Recruit A Friend reward track, you will continue to earn those rewards as long as your recruits stay subscribed. If for any reason, your recruits lapse for a month or more and then return, they will begin awarding credit for the current reward track.

Today is the last day to be able to recruit someone for 12months to get the old rewards.

Yeah, kind of what I was afraid of. :dracthyr_sweat:

YES! This I could totally live with. Still don’t want any of the new rewards. I don’t generally like goblin-style rewards for non-goblin toons. And if you look out into the world while gaming, you don’t even see that junk-style looks beyond goblins are hugely popular, so…

Anyway, loved your thoughtful reply.

To those asking if it’s a 2-person mount, the article did say that it was and if you look at the mount in the image, you can see there’s a troll passenger behind the goblin driver - so that’s at least some confirmation that it’s a 2-person mount.

I hope it has a good underwater animation. If they’d have made it so a matching diving helmet goes around the head part when it goes under water – that would confer underwater breathing while submerged – I’d be all over this mount even tho it’s ugly. Because the utility of it (since newbie players won’t have underwater mounts yet) would make the ugliness worthwhile.

Theyve done RAF since about the game’s existance. Yes i suppose subs are, but this isnt a symptom of it

It’s only 4 every 30 days though so even with them announcing it when they did, doesn’t really give people a chance to get it

It’s odd that they don’t just let you finish the one you’re working on as that’s the one you recruited a friend under.

So, does this apply to people who had played in the past (for quite some time) but gave up during recent expansions? I have one that texted me one day during Shadowlands saying (after all of these years) he was quitting since he spent 80% of the time doing things he didn’t particularly want to, just to do what he did enjoy for 20%. With a demanding job and family, his had to prioritize. I THINK he (and tbh, a lot of people who quit in the last few expansions) might actually enjoy DF if they gave it a chance.

I know a lot of us, some in our guild, some, friends outside of the guild, would love seeing him come back, and actually, his dad too (who I think quit in BfA). Or is there an amount of time they had to be gone for this to apply?

I have my 4 month reward (the title) and the 3 leading up to it, but not my 1 month reward on the other tab, the Volatile Self-Driving Toolbox. We’ll see what happens once April is almost up and see if this actually goes right (or not) I guess.

And the award for being the ugliest mount goes to…

I cannot bring myself to do this to someone.

Nah. I don’t like the idea of missing out on new rewards because i completed the old raf system already. Why should you get both the old and new raf rewards on a single friend

I have no friends.

are you going to start paying us real life cash to recruit for you, since you guys can’t seem to do it yourselves?

I know I worded it kind of funky but you wouldn’t miss out. The first table was what I was saying they should/could have down with the existing/newest rewards (since people can finish their track before moving on to the next) the new rewards are stretched for no real reason other than to milk players. That included giving players that already completed that track the ‘new’ rewards retroactively since they already completed that track.

The second table was basically them adding 6 months worth of rewards for a total of 12 months of rewards, with them adding 6 months worth at a time and bumping the oldest 6 months off the table. So once you earn the first 6 months, you move on to the second set, there’s no overlap of ‘new’ rewards being added to the ‘old’ ones so the only way to get those ‘new’ rewards is by RAFing once every year or so (when they updated/add the ‘new’ rewards).

tldr: you wouldn’t miss out on rewards from the current ones, they’d be added retroactively. Going forward, you would need to complete each 6 month track with there only ever being 12 months of rewards available at any time, bumping the oldest 6 months out with each new set of rewards.

No thank you Blizz… I respect my friends and wouldn’t suggest/recommend wow to anyone, much less my friends. Wow is 10 years or more past the game I used to enjoy. If my friends were to express an interest in wow at this point, I would share my opinion with them so they could make a better informed decision.

But their decision would be their decision… not mine.

Sorry for the bad news, but you’ve been and are beating a dead horse into the ground.

Build a new game such as WoW2, or WoW to the Max… etc.

why add the quiver to last months trading post that match this Renowned Explorer’s ensemble and take the ensemble out of the raf system. the quiver doesnt look right with anything in game if you dont have Renowned Explorer’s ensemble.

atleast put it in the trading post. i tried for 2 years to recruit friends. im 36 none of my friends wanna play the game. they got wives and kids
