Bumping this, because it is completely insane and wildly unacceptable that there is a recrafting bug, one that has existed since and was flagged on the Beta, for many people where their crests are just consumed without the item being upgraded. Nobody should recraft anything until this is addressed.

Put in 80 mythic crests and recraft mats got the confirmation that the order was 5 starred and got the item back at base no crests put in ilvl. My crests are gone. This is unacceptable blizzard.

Bumping. These issues need to be addressed. The first post linked occurred 9 days ago. Weapon still bugged, no refunded crests, no acknowledgment from dev team at all. There have been several reports and post since with others running into the same issue. For the various player responses I’ve seen - it should not matter if a minimum rank is specified, it should not matter that it was hero crests used instead of myth, the material rank input should not matter only the result. If any of these items (or any others really) are the reason, then regardless it is a coding and development issue and needs to be addressed. There are mythic raiders and keyers that want to be fully active in the game and are being hindered by this. No one wants to fight a mythic boss with a 259 weapon.

Too scared to recraft my cloak now. Weekly crest cap means you can’t even refarm the crests if this happens. Disgusting lack of QA this crafting system has been in the game since Dragonflight how did you break it? I am guessing AI laziness…

Bumping this too, what the hell Blizzard. This changes end game progression and NEEDS to be fixed yesterday.

They broke it by changing from enchanted crests (which is an item) to crests only (which are a currency).
The easiest fix would be to let the crafting vendor sell enchanted crests for normal crests which then go into the crafting order. That worked without issues in TWW.

I dont’ care how they fix it. If it’s not widespread enough to change, at LEAST let us submit on a case my case basis. This is just unreal.

Bumping this. Just happened to a guildmate. Lost his Hero crafted weapon and all the materials needed for a Mythic recraft. This is completely unacceptable.
