Allowing GDKPs increases the number of people buying gold, buying gold leads to an increase of botting.
Bots controlled the price of flasks because they controlled the black lotus spawns, there was no way you could compete with them, because again if you tried you would get mass reported by the bot handlers and subsequently banned.

I love that your take is that because a small number of people still buy gold we should pour gasoline on the situation by allowing GDKPs which greatly incentivizes gold buying for a larger portion of the community.

Why are people still wasting their time in this discussion. There’s two types of players who are in favor of GDKPs.
- Gold buyers who want to then buy bis gear.
- People who get their gold cut from group 1.
That’s it. That’s your pro-GDKPers. People who swipe their card, and people who end up with that gold in their pocket. And I suppose gold sellers too, since they’re making real money off it.
Everything besides that is just nonsense. That’s what it boils down to.

Banning GDKP did nothing they claimed they wanted it to… The RMTers now just hard reserve mats, recipes, and BOEs. You can also buy boosts for gold.
What banning it did do was make the PVE heroes feel better about themselves by giving them a huge PVP advantahe, which was the real goal. It was never about RMT or boosting and reserving tradeables would be banned too
