I recently came back to the game. I have had reputation resets. Not just the shadowlands reset, which I’ve been told blizzard has already responded to and basically done nothing about, which I don’t really consider a satisfactory answer to hear.
I have had other rep reset as well, which does not seem to be part of the same issue, as I have compared with friends who lost their shadowlands rep, and they have not lost the others. I’m trying to get support for this issue. Not just report a bug and be ignored. I can’t say my expectations for coming back were high, and I was still somehow disappointed by the state of the game, the lack of customer service, and the rate at which I keep finding things that don’t work correctly. I don’t think I will be renewing again.
What you are looking for is not something that can be helped with here, or really on the forums at all. The previous thread was moved to Bug Reports because that’s where it will get the best possible chance at resolution.
Continuing to open topics here will only serve to have your forum posting privileges eventually revoked for spamming.
When you make your bug report, either in game or by making a topic in Bug Report forums, make sure you provide some more details.
What reputation(s) were seemingly affected? What character? What level (friendly, exalted, etc) do you recall them being?
Remember that not all reps are account wide and some don’t follow if you faction change. So make sure you’re looking at the correct rep faction and on the correct character.
Aside from the Shadowlands, I lost exalted with Sons of Hodir, and exalted with Wrathion and Sabellian. I logged in to every character that could have possibly done the rep just to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. I have never done a faction change. I still have the achievments and know that Varraki earned the Dragonflight rep, I cannot remember which I had working on Sons of Hodir because I had a lot of alts parked all over doing rep grinds.
Dragonflight reps are part of the newer Renown Warband system and I’ve heard of a few people who have had that specific rep reset.
Sons of Hodir and is not. It’s possible you’re misremembering which alt did it and it was long ago deleted or transferred away.
All of this is good info to include in your bug report, it will help devs gather more info on a potential problem. You aren’t likely to get a personal response, but they do read the bug reports.
