Recent server transfer for character, and the in-ability for refund or re-issue

Just looking for further clarifcation I suppose about the refund policy? I was a bit hasty in my server transfer for my monk, knowing that I wanted to faction change her aswell to alliance . It was in the past week, and I did use the server transfer, but only to realize the server I went to is super dead for alliance. I don’t even want a refund, but just a re-issue of the service if possible. On ticket an multiple replies they’ve continually denied, but dang it just feels wrong

In order to help you fix it, they’d need to refund the token, AKA move back the toon, in order to help. They don’t offer a free token for something like this.

This kind of situation they wont give a refund since you used the transfer. Only once in a lifetime will they revert a transfer if you made a mistake and only once. But this sounds like you really did not check the server out before hand.

Best to start a low level character on the server and check things out before transferring. No they can not over ride the cool down on a transfer either, that is hard coded.

Just on the nose, this sounds like you’re being denied through the self-service refund system. You should still be able to open a proper ticket for a GM to review. If you’re not getting that link, you can submit your request here:

As was mentioned above by others - they won’t just revert the service. It’ll be a full refund if you’re eligible, then repurchase the token to use.

Always a good idea to roll a toon on a potential server and pop around for a bit to get a good feeling for it before blindly transferring. I do wish you luck.

Sadly it was through the ticket system talking to I guess a couple different gms about it, a different one for every response. Seems I’m boned, they won’t issue a refund. I do appreciate all the replies though, everyone.

The refund policy for character services says " We’ll refund most items that you buy with real money and receive in-game within 14 days of purchase, as long as you have not claimed, opened, or otherwise used the item."

If you had realized an legitimate mistake immediately you could have used the automated refund system. If you played the character at all and decided the server wasn’t for you, they’ll look at it like buyers remorse and likely deny the refund.

The OP did say they used the transfer and was not what they expected. So afraid this comes down to buyers remorse. Next time make a new character and check out a server before hand to check things out.

Yeah, just lame considering I had faction change plans as-well and I was pretty quick to communicate with them. My fault certainly, but dang, feels like rough customer service.

I’ll just not get the faction change. Should’ve looked prior, I assumed a populated realm just meant populated on both sides. Big assumption

You know what happens when you assume?
