Void elves are actually different. Void elf origins have them come from Silvermoon on the horde side. While high and blood are the same no matter what name we use, void are different due in part to the void infusion.

I chalk that up to politics if nothing else. While they are allowed by lorthamar to visit Silvermoon whenever they want since it is their home, they choose instead to be angry.

There are so many ways to establish happiness for both Void and High elf fans. The hairstyles will come with a toggle as is also supported on the Void elf thread. They already have blue eyes and all. Hopefully they will also get tattoos which will be great for both themes tbh, as well as starcursed hair and Old God Eyes

Yes but high elves are also on the horde. Like I said the name is purely political. The only true difference is void elves due to the void infusion. Alleria isnt really a high elf anymore anyway. Her infusion of void with the help of locus walker changed that
silver covenant is an alliance only tabard. so they are alliance

The blood elves and the horde.
Blood elves are high elves. We just picked a new name due to the tragedies that happened.
Alliance has the model and customization options through void elves. If you want to be an alliance high elf, thats your option
On top of that, the faction line is now gone for instanced content and premade content (hopefully random content is around the corner too). So you can play a blood elf, who can literally be made into high elves, and still play with alliance groups.
Oh and the alliance also loses with that because a race slot would be wasted that could be a race that makes more sense or is just better in general. Deer people, angel people, mogu, tuskarr, jinyu, etcā¦
Enough elves. 4 flavors with 6+ flavors as customization options are enough.

Thats gameplay reasons. Lore wise all elves from Silvermoon are allowed to visit except for void due to the void infusion.

I recently commented this on another thread:
Iām really happy we have High/Half/Darkfallen options on both factions now,
but I def encourage as much customizing freedom and player choice as we can get.
With Darkfallen honestly, Iām not sure āLoreā restrictions even apply to these things any longerā¦ So, Sanālayn and Druids of the Pack - Iām still waiting
