It would be better with the rdf tool for leveling and for people with family’s and work weird hours don’t have enough time to form a party then fly to the dungeon .I’m going to play wrath either way but I see why people want the rdf tool.
I’m not playing Cata.
I played it originally but was not a huge fan of it and gave them a pass after enjoying TBC and Wrath.
They don’t have one.
The reason given by Blizzard isn’t their real reason. It’s a bogus trope to allow the forum trolls to gang up on anyone that wants RDF.
Don’t want RDF. There’s Classic for that. It will always be there for you. Blizzard said they will keep it running even if only a few players are logging in.
We can’t go to retail to get WotLK. We can go to 1 of the 2 versions of WoW that never had RDF.
They don’t want competition for the 70 boost. Hence they killed in game boosting under the guise of “muh economy”, removed RDF under the pretense of “muh community”, and put that 70 boost in the store.
Blizzard is run by liars. Brian is their gaslighter-in-chief.
Excellent work just using an exaggerated number to try to bolster your statement which ironically, makes your statement look weaker.
Second to last patch (don’t forget Ruby Sanctum), and was in the game for about half of the runtime of the expansion. It wasn’t something that just appeared right before cataclysm.
People that think that building 5 man groups is a social experience have always been a bit odd.
It’s to sell boosts during the initial expansion hype.
Doesn’t even matter what they say. ActiBlizz is a dishonest company with a long history of dishonesty and a repeating theme of dishonest behavior that incentivizes cash shop purchases.
Wasn’t included in Wrath in the first but then you turn around and completely contradict yourself by saying it was in the last patch. My guy.
RDF came first and character boosts came after in retail. And people today still buy boosts even with RDF available. Boosters gonna boost.
I thought people didnt really like cata because of the pacing of the content was lackluster, but that’s not really a problem in classic, since pacing is set by phase releases and not actual coding deadlines. I think cata classic will be better received since it will be relatively quick expac and then onto MOP.
I figure since a lot of time went to redesigning the old world, that the end game content was lacking. But it should be relatively quick on a classic play through.
They learned from the flying debate in 2014 to not say they’re changing it because it’s their decision, it’s now “the community” (that was never polled).
And they have two classic expansions to see exactly what BS it is. I’ve said it before but classic destroyed all of the classic talking points and its hilarious.
Except they’re releasing wrath with talent balance that didn’t exist until ICC
Private servers will always be superior
They made up a bunch of hogwash about socializing and communities… as if that has anything to do with spamming “LF TANK.” They also threw all their excuses right into the trash by cross realming wintersgrasp. They can’t swallow their own snake oil.
The obvious reason they don’t really want to do cross realm dungeons is because it would hurt they boost and transfer revenues. They profit off the blood of dying realms. Now that the blood has run out, they axe the realms and crank out new ones to bleed dry all over again.
“Private servers will always be superior”
-I’ve yet to see any way in which any ever were unless you count actual GM support and forum moderators. But this point is quickly lost when you take into account all the corruption and abuse volunteer support staffs have.
fine, so start RDF as server wide only, wait on the cross server. it would still be a HUGE improvement over the current LFG channels in TBCC.
but the real concern i have is the number of folks spending hours of their lives arguing against RDF when all they have to do is NOT USE IT. it boggles the mind that they are so threatened by loss of control over who gets to run what on “THEIR” server that they would waste so much time here fighting against getting it. all that only proves its not about RDF per se, its about them not controlling their server that bugs em.
I am so tired of reading that RDF existed for “half” of Wrath.
It came out in ICC. This is now classic. THE ICC RAID WILL NOT LAST AN ENTIRE YEAR.
If we follow the most BASIC of classic tendencies, you get 4 mos of Naxx, 4 mos of Ulduar, 4 mos of TOC, and then 4 mos of ICC with Ruby in there somewhere.
IE, It’s a quarter of the game’s lifespan.
Stop lying to yourselves to make the narrative sound better.
maybe you should double check your version numbers, im not getting into the “half of wrath” argument, but according to the release notes the version of wrath we are getting ALREADY had RDF in it. ::shrugs:: do what you will with it.
This is also disingenuous.
The version of TBC we got had SWP, MGT, S4 arena gear, a gem vendor, tons of new badge gear, badges dropped off ALL RAID BOSSES, and an extra piece of tier from tier bosses.
We got none of that at release.
I don’t care if RDF exists or not, but the debate that exists on the subject is like reading internet political opinions. Rarely grounded or a discussion, and primarily concerned with your “team” winning.
It’s pathetic.
im just at a loss with it. RDF is an OPTION not a requirement for players to use. are hardcore players so scared of not being able to lord it over other people that they come in here and spam hundreds of messages over hundreds of hours to fight against an OPTION?
