Well, the options are “they don’t test them” or “they do this deliberately”. Whether I think they’re incompetent or trolling depends on how annoyed I am on a given day.
Lately, it’s been a lot harder to give them the benefit of not attributing to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity, though. Because I have trouble believing any group of professionals is THIS stupid.
My impression is they knew it might piss off some people. Like many of other “surprise” changes they are waiting it out to see if it’s worth the effort to actually do something about it.
This is definitely another gross oversight surrounding this “feature”. Alliance can now effectively barricade themselves in both the room and surrounding tunnels WITHOUT EVEN ENTERING THE CITY PROPER to meet opposition.
Bad, unneeded “feature” that has been very poorly designed.
Despite that “progress” often being the last thing the game needs. They need to go back and look at the popularity of Wrath and figure out what they actually need to go back to.
I actually remember them talking about small cosmetic items like that for various classes. It was one of their “we’d love to do it, but we’re not sure how to implement it” sort of deals.
It was actually one of the more refreshing comments from Blues. Where they weren’t speaking in lawyerese to cover their butts legally. They were speaking as Developers of a Game.
Compare it to the blue post above that screams “written by a lawyer”.

I was referring more toward programs in general and not games specifically. Things like going from Windows 7 to Windows 10. They made certain things harder to gain access to for no good reason. It literally felt like they moved things around so they could say “look, progress!”
Oh don’t get me started on Windows 10.

I don’t like it either. But one has to keep up with the Jones. If I could get all my programs working on Linux I’d leave Microsoft behind in a heartbeat. But, getting WIndows programs working on Linux can take an act of congress at times.
Especially getting WoW running. Oh lord, a single patch can murder things on the Linux side.

Exactly. The blues only post what they are told to post. It’s even possible that Kaivax might disagree with this decision, but had to post what he was told to post. Personally, I don’t blame the messenger. I blame those who sent the message.

So let me see if I understand your logic, you removed portals because you wanted to make the world seem bigger hmmm, the only thing you succeeded in doing is slowing game time down this is extremely annoying and I am not sure I will renew my subscriptions. This is a sure way of getting rid of customers if that is what you want.
It kind of seems like they want us to leave honestly. Which is really sad to say.
